I know Repubs will say, Wow, but what about gas prices (going down btw)? Trumps destruction of everything he touched reached all levels. One of many fixes that have or will happen

Imagine being a 2 year old. I know we can't. But imagine going to a 4th of July parade with your parents and leaving an orphan. Trumpette or not, an AR did this. Again.

Thanks e. You got your 4th of July wish. We celebrated guns allright. Idiot.

On Tuesday, Lake County authorities revealed that the suspect, Robert Crimo III, had two encounters with local police in 2019, before he legally obtained his weapons.

The first call, in April 2019, was a report that Crimo had attempted suicide.

Then, in September 2019, a family member called Highland Park police to report that Crimo "said he was going to kill everyone" and that he had a collection of knives, Sgt. Christopher Covelli of the Lake County Sheriff's Office said at a press conference Tuesday.

Highland Park police confiscated 16 knives, a dagger and a sword from Crimo's home – but ultimately did not arrest Crimo, Covelli said, in part because none of his family were willing to sign complaints.

Afterward, Highland Park police notified Illinois State Police of the incident in a "clear and present danger" report.

But because Crimo did not then have a FOID card – a firearm owner's identification card that is issued by Illinois State Police and required for gun ownership – nor an application to deny, the state police said, their "involvement with the matter was concluded."

Three months later, Crimo, then 19, applied for a FOID card. His application was sponsored by his father, and was approved by state police in January 2020.

Dad needs to have his ass locked up too

That fireworks video is hilarious. I like the mullet guy in the white tshirt, in the lull b/w when the first one goes off and when the real fireworks starts. He's standing there looking at the car and then flees when it dawns on him what's about to happen...

"Highland Park police confiscated 16 knives, a dagger and a sword from Crimo's home"

What's the difference b/w a knife and a dagger? What about a dirk?

Illinois already has a red flag law, which is the wonderful solution our head idiots in charge of both #TeamBlue and #TeamRed just passed.

This just goes to show why they will never work. Nobody who is actually a threat will get reported, because it would require another layer of government bureaucracy and justice system to handle everyone the police will think shouldnt have a gun (seems this kid fell through the bureaucratic cracks), or its up to the public. Nobody is going to actually call in a red flag on a legitimately crazy person, because then you presumably have to go in and participate in some kind of due process in order to get it applied. Its a hassle and if the person is someone you are legit scared of you're also afraid they'll retaliate against you. The only people who will end up getting red flags is from people who's family turn them in and where there are already contentious relations. So a wife getting a divorce will red flag her husband or the crazy batshit neighbor who doesnt like you and is feuding with you will red flag you, etc.

A dirk is a type of dagger, a dagger is a type of knife. IMO, one object can be dirk, dagger, and knife

If it is the weed than state legislators are complicit in the mass murder of these people for legalizing it. If you are joking (or you think Ingram is a joke) then explain what the reason is? You don't agree with Tucker and if you don't agree with Ingram, then who rat? And if you don't have an answer then you are not helping to fix the problem.

And no, owning a gun does not "motivate" a person to murder.
