Pretty accurate of Fisher, to launch himself, leave the ground and still put his bald head in front of Scola's teeth

Bynum's turning into a tech magnet.

Odom looks lost.

Odom is fragile. I used to get mad at him, now I pity him.

Sessions scores an efficient 20 points w/ 11 assists as Lakers outlast Portland. So far, so good, with the athletic point guard thing.

I missed the game, so I need to go and read up on it. I just figured they would beat a demoralized Portland...

The Lakers expend some Kobe heroics and outlast another team they should easily beat. Gasol played strong after Bynum essentially took the game off and earning a lot of bench time by attempting a three.

He attempted the three because they were destroying the Liliputian (sp?) Warriors and guys started firing away jump shots. What use is there to post up a 6'8" David Lee if no one feeds (the big dog)? So, Bynum decided (in immature fashion...but still, I get the root of it) to jack up a three and then sit on the end of the bench for 35 minutes.

We should have destroyed GSW and Bynum should have had 30.

I have less issue with what Bynum did than his explanation:

Bynum vowed to continue to "expand his game" by taking shots from beyond the arc.

"I guess, 'Don't take 3s' is the message, but I'm going to take another one and I'm going to take some more, so I just hope it's not the same result," Bynum said. "Hopefully I make it."

My boys think Kobe and Drew are running a small subliminal coup on Brown's "young" staff.

I just think Drew has not matured in the same way his game has.

Drew is incredibly immature - and he seems to have real issues with ever admitting to be wrong.

Like when he had his run of brutal flagrant fouls, there was never any remorse. Just a "I guess I need to be careful because the league has it out for me" attitude.

Yeah. He's smart, but coddled. Kobe's not the best to help him in that respect, though. Seems Fish wasn't too much either.

Maybe instead of launching satirical 3s he can try going coast to coast with his defensive rebounds. He can dish out a few flagrants on the way to the hoop.

Ding had a more sympathetic take, comparing Drew to Kobe early in his career in terms of talent and brash cockiness.

Yeah, but wishful thinking that Drew is growing into a "Kobe System." Drew is who he is...and his mindset and Kobe's are not comparable.

I wouldn't be surprised if, between Odom and Fish, one of the two are not back in a Lakers uni next year.

Bynum went to the locker room with a sprained ankle. He's not coming back. X-Rays were negative...
