Manning took the easy way out. Either way he was getting paid. He decided that SF would be heavy favorites to win the SB next year with what's coming back and he was afraid if he couldn't do it his legacy is tarnished. The Titans, no way. Too much pressure going back home.

The new Jacksonville owner would love Tebow but the just rafter one last year.

Manning's too old for anyone who's looking for a 4-5 year run.

manning signed a 5 year contract

I can't see tebow hanging around for 4-5 years

lots of qbs have done well between 35-40

Its all about getting whether his neck absorbs the punishment --he knows how to get rid of the ball and avoid punishment

I have a feeling they will be winning the afc west for a long time

I don't see Manning lasting 5 years but I guess he could.

That 5th year will have such a high salary number he will never see it paid. This is a 3 year deal in the end.

Jesus hates the Jets. This won't end well. And yes Goodell went overboard.

when the QB is calling his teammates spineless cowards, its not going to be a good locker room environment.

strange goings on

sanchez shits the bed last year

his team calls him out on his fucked up play

they persue manning

manning ignores them

they give sanchez a big raise and 3 year contract

sanchez then calls his team spinelsess cowards

now welcome tebow.

the jets are one fucked up team

Wow, I'm not a Saints fan, but that's awful harsh for Payton. I think Goodell wants flag football on Sundays...

everything I heard from NFL talking heads told me it was going to be severe. Losing an MVP caliber QB is decimating to a team and revenues as well as TV viewers, etc. Not to mention the bad press from concussed players and the lawsuits.

Goodell isn't going to tolerate that for a second. Based on what I've heard, he got off light compared to what I was hearing Goodell would do.

My understanding is that there were no incentives for illegal hits, but legal hits were. The "Bountygate" did not cause concussions. Football does. Payton was suspended for bad press.
