My company asked me if I wanted to participate in their 401K but I told them I didn't think I could run that far...

I don't know enough about it to be dangerous. I just chose a 30 year plan 20 years ago and put as much as I can afford into it.

I only look at it once a year or so

So, a Republican AG seeking the nomination in the state's 2022 Senate race makes a claim that the election was rigged despite his own party's state leaders saying everything was fine? I'm sure it's a coincidence that he is just now saying this during a year in which he is running for the senate...

You will know things are really bad when you see the commercials advertsing how to hold physical ammunition in your 401k or IRA.

inflation is 8.4% due to Putins Price Hike says the White House, which means is probably north of 12% in reality

Putin isn't the reason the grocery bill is 15% higher for Americans, home heating was 25-50% higher over the winter.

I guess they realized they can't keep blaming Trump , looking for the next bogeyman to deflect their inability to do anything about it.

unfortunately they have been for years.

Now the fed has backed themselves into a corner where they are going to have to jack up rates to stop inflation and will put us in a recession...or worse

The 40 pack of bottled water at Costco has been 2.99 for as long as I can remember.

Last night it was 3.89…

I’m shocked that the 1.50 hot dog/drink combo is still 1.50…I assume that’s next…

they are going to take a hit on that $4.99 rotisserie chicken. We buy 2 a week.

I also load up on .99 per lb chicken thighs.

We eat one a week.

I keep thinking the rotisserie chicken is a loss-leader, but then I remember that whatever chickens they don't sell (if they don't sell any) they just turn them into yummy chicken salad, and they sell all that for even more money. Never is anything wasted. But you may be right, might hit $5.49 before Christmas.

I think the hot dogs and the chicken are loss leaders but they did open their own hot dog plant, and bought up a few chicken farms in Nebraska to be self sufficient.

I watched a video breaking down how Costco makes it money. I never realized the memberships were so key to their bottom line. Their margins are around 11% where as Wal-Mart and target try to stay in the 25% range.

They have me hooked, thats for sure. Over the years as I've grown a little more financially stable , that excess money has basically gone to them. I have about a $600 a month habit with them now

Tonight we are going out and buying a Casper mattress from them, I bought tires for my wifes car in January , I probably drop close to $9K a year there when you throw in big ticket items and Xmas shopping.

Oh yea, and their liquor - bought $128 worth of their Vodka 2 weeks ago.

A bus from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning, transporting dozens of illegal immigrants as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s new plan to counter federal immigration policies during an ongoing border crisis.

Abbott announced last week that he was directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to transport migrants released from federal custody in Texas to the nation’s capital and other locations outside his state.

According to TDEM, Abbott’s plan is already working. The agency told Fox News on Monday that many of the communities that originally reached out for support – from the Rio Grande Valley to Terrell County – say the federal government stopped dropping immigrants in their towns since Abbott's announcement on April 6.

Here is the youtube

Nadler calls them "refugees." Well there is only one female "refugee." There are no children. There are no old people. The rest are all young adult, males. Don't you just love it when state and federal agencies work together like this?

DeSantis said he has already got the money to start a similar program in Florida. All the illegals he gets, he will give them opportunity to transport them to Washington DC and just drop them off at the Capitol. Nadler can take care of them. After all, he wants them.
