no shit, every cycle i say i'm going to register as an independent and then i never get around to it. for the past four years, the GOP aint done nothin but oppose Obama at all costs, regardless of the merits or benefits of whatever he was trying to do.

That wouldn't be a problem if things haven't changed so much. It used to only be a reality during the election cycle...now, because of the money needed to campaign, the election cycle never ends. So, the "play politics" game never ends.
We're all a much weaker country for it. I don't know how long we can get away with the shit we're doing to ourselves in the name of winning a political race.

Big difference from yesterday to today. Yesterday, virtually all Republicans were saying that the killing of Bin Laden shouldn't be in politics. Today (except for Rush), no criticism but strongly downplayed. Some internal polls much have said it was bad politics.
Hell, if I'd killed Bin Laden, I'd have made a song and video about it.

Have been to a Cosby concert (he really reels you in and you can't help but crack up). Don't like Katt Williams (he thinks the curse word itself is funny, as opposed to cursing while being funny). Have albums still of Pryor, my parents have secret albums of Redd Foxx and Moms Mabley (sp?) who had just one of the most foul mouths ever. Like Murphy, Sinbad (his recent comeback conference was great).

listening to comedy albums. man, that brings back memories. Pryor and Carlin, they were the gold standard.
i saw Cosby in concert 10 yrs ago at Gator Growl, he still got it.

I don't mind blue comedy. But curse words in themselves are necessarily funny. Some of our post-Pryor comics in trying to emulate him miss that point.

Sinbad's OK at times, mainly because of his exuberant delivery. Steve Harvey is one I could do without. Cedric was all right on Kings of Comedy but his movies are lame
