if the government is covering the difference, that is a horrible plan

I'd vote against it too. If someone can sell insulin for $35 dollars, the government should make sure they have the ability to do so, not subsidize big pharma so that the average American can afford it while they continue to charge $1200 for it.

I still not sure that is what the house plan is but if so, its moronic.

That doesn't alleviate health costs, it just shifts the burden onto everyone to pay for it in addition to them already having a health care plan that cost more than their mortgage....only an idiot would think the GOP is in bed with big pharma for voting against a plan like that.

what I just read said that its the insurance companies that are taking it in the ass on this - they are required to provide the cost at $35 or less

I wonder who will pay for their loss?

yea, what a great idea. your insulin only cost $35, your health insurance cost more than your mortgage and home /car insurance combined.

No diabetics in my house, but now I get to pay for their medicine thru an increased insurance premium.

Look on the bright side, at least they're not subsidizing heroin. But they should...

they shouldn't be subsidizing anything.

if insulin can be produced and sold for $35, then they need to be addressing why that isn't happening in a free market economy

why is that hard to understand for Democrats?

yep - so why blame the GOP would voted against subsidizing big pharma at the expense of everyone?

oh thank you democrats for allowing us to get $35 insulin while the cost is back loaded into your already over priced health care plans that Democrats failed to deliver their promise on with Obama care

oh yea, and GOP is bad for making us focus on gas prices

again, I'm just lost on the boastful ignorance

Recession only happens under Republicans but I can see it happening. The Repubs really fucked up covid and we're still paying dearly for it. Gas prices are the latest Republican attempt to divert your attention from Jan 6th and all the shit they're in.

on this, eCat is correct. I would also vote against the bill for the same reason. $1200 for insulin so long as the insurance companies are forced to pay $1165 of that $1200? Rubbish.

Rat, you don't care because the democrats said the bill is a good idea, then you mind numbingly agree with them because you aren't permitted to think

But you aren't smart enough to ever think for yourself and say that any of these democrats are wrong about anything.

My way is better. My way permits me to think for myself. I'll argue with a republican.

We should try to get some of us here into a meeting with ConAgra and put together a presentation for them about how we can guarantee them fuckloads of money to change the name of their caramel covered popcorn snack to “Poppycunt”
