I watched most of The Human Centipede last night. The best part was the japanese guy who the evil german doctor used as part of the centipede. He couldn't speak english, but he would lash out verbally at the doctor in japanese nonetheless. It was an ugly cultural stereotype they were playing on, but I guess if you're going to make someone part of a human centipede, cultural stereotyping is the least of your worries...

Has anyone seen Vanilla Sky? I know I've seen it before and I recall liking it. Watched it again last weekend and still liked it. Cameron Diaz should've gotten an Oscar for "best psycho girlfriend ever"...

there was an audible groan from the entire audience but the movie was so good throughout I didn't mind. Its not like people there 4 days after it was released won't miss the last one of the trilogy.
I think the girl elf dies - she isn't in the original hobbit (neither is legolis) and I don't see how the love interest from her, the dwarf and legolis is going to play out otherwise

Remember Fili and his twin Killi (the drawf she loves) both die in the final battle. So I suspect you are correct, she'll die as well. Legolas is not in the Hobbit, but his father is (although Tolkein didn't give him a name until the trilogy)
speaking of Duck Dynasty
http://www.chron.com/about/article/Duck ... 075220.php
Phil was apparently suspended from the show 4 his anti-gay comments
"
"Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson told GQ, unsurprisingly, that he doesn't get the whole gay thing.
"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men," Robertson told GQ's Drew Magary in the magazine's Janurary issue.
He then went on to describe, in detail, why he, a self-proclaimed vagina-loving man, doesn't understand the attaction.
So there's that. Oh, and also, he explained why blacks were happy during the Jim Crow days in Louisiana.
"Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash," Robertson said. "They're singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, 'I tell you what: These doggone white people'—not a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."
After getting called on the carpet for these gems, Robertson released an apology clarification via A&E:
"I myself am a product of the 60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior. My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other."
