He's listed as one on every search of the history of Alabama head coaches. So yes.

Not in this thread. Keep your ridiculous opinions on the coach who never coached a game in its proper place.

When your own athletics department acknowledges he was indeed a head coach I think this debate is over.

No, I never said that.

Idiots...

So you don't take special teams into consideration when calculating relative strengths and weaknesses? You don't figure your special teams to be good for, e.g., a score or at least a setup for an easy score?
by AlabamAlum » Tue Sep 17, 2013 12:48 pm
No. I no more factor Alabama taking two kicks back for TDs any more than I would factor the Bama basketball team's ability to make halfcourt shots.

Correct. I can explain it to you again, but I can't make you understand it. I'll try one more time, and maybe you can go mine for some more quotes from 2013 (lmao!).

By the way, those latter two quotes were discussing Alabama taking two to the house on VaTech. It's a little thing I like to call 'context'. We were discussing why my score prediction was off on that game and I was arguing why it was actually closer than it would appear by looking at the final score.

I've typed slowly for you, so please read carefully so you can understand what was being discussed on that game's rehash:

Special teams are very important. Kickoff and kickoff coverage are important (as I've said before and you've been so gracious to quote me on - lol), but I do NOT say, "Hey, there is a 3% chance that someone will return a kick for a TD or a .0004% chance that a team will take two to the house, so I better factor that in!" on a score prediction.

Dear AA, don't you ever post another sandbag post again or I will fly down there on a private jet and punch you in the dick. And when you come too and get back to your senses finally I will punch you in the dick again and follow it with a steel toed kick to the same region. Then I will board that jet back home and eat Alabama Mexican Takeout.

We've been pretty lucky. And TAMU is mailing this game in. Back-to-back losses took the fight out of the Ags.

AlabamAlum wrote:TAMU will deal us fits. We have a puncher's chance, but Hill will make our secondary look silly. Our defense is geared to hold power running teams to a score or two. That whole forward pass thing frightens and confuses us.

Give us 4 points for being at home, and we may hold on by a FG. That said, our FG kicker has been hurt half the year. Something to do with his back. FG kickers don't use their backs, do they?

I think he outdid his pre-UF remarks, TAMU is outdoing UF's performance on the field which is saying something.

Still a lot of football left. They score a quick 6 TDs to start the half, and this game will be a barn burner.

To the uninitiated novice, Bama's 52 point lead might appear to indicate that Bama is a better team than aTm. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bama is only barely surviving through a colossal display of smoke and mirrors. If you take away Bama's total domination in every conceivable aspect of the game, The Aggies would actually be winning.

This just proves that AA was not only right about the UA-aTm game, but it also scientifically proves that Mike Price never coached at Alabama, kick returns aren't a valid metric for a football team's prowess, and above all, AA doesn't sandbag.

Bama's glaring weaknesses leave only one conclusion:

Gentlemen, Bama is in trouble.

The first paragraph was funny. The second paragraph was absurd.

That's 50%, which is an F. I will grade you on a curve and give you a D-. But please revise and resubmit.
