Syrians fleeing war, LOL! There is a big difference between women, children, and old people running away from Russian Army troops bombing their cities VS inflatable rafts filled with Syrian men (aged 17 to 54) arriving in the West looking for work and money to send home to the women, children and old people they left behind. One is a true refugee. The other is an economic migrant.

Anyway, hang in there Ukraine. Almost the entire world (including this entire forum here) is rooting for you.

Russia could save face by deposing Putin. I don't see any way that Putin can save face at this point. It's hard to see Russians accepting becoming a Chinese satellite state, much less Putin doing that.

Never realized how much Russia's economy has slipped on the world stage. GDP only 1.67 Trillion a year. Ranked 12th in the world. It's amazing how they sustain a significant military with that.

Afraid of getting shanked

Here's an article about the good ol boy on meal team six. Basically he was a middle-aged guy with a criminal record that was just kind of treading water or worse in Texas. He started reading Russian propaganda on Facebook and decided he was going to go over during the Ukraine Revolution of 2014 and have an adventure. He's been over there fighting and then doing english-language propaganda for eight years.
