I think its a real possibility now that Russia is actually going to straight up lose the conventional war against the current Ukraine government. There definitely seems like there’s no way out of a protracted guerrilla war even if they do win. The fact that Ukraine is still shooting down Russian planes, including inflicting casualties by shooting down irreplaceable airborne troops 3 days in now is not a good look. Theyve potentially had more troops killed in 3 days than the US lost in 8 years in Iraq
