I'm thinking I'll just pay a sister-n-law to take my place
Pay me to go instead!!! I LOVE Harry Potter I went to the studios in London where the scenes were shot, fantastic to see how the special effects were done ==but also took away some of the 'magic'

I have travelled a lot a whole lot! but never been to New Orleans and very much want to go but not around Mardi Gras, I have been to Carnival in Cologne, Germany which is actually crazier than Mardi Gras in NO I love cities, not into scenery, have to take visitors to Tahoe looks like Folsom Lake! never been to Grand Canyon or Yosemite but been to Russia, Hungary, Czeck Republic and all over Europe. Disgusting really that I haven't seen more of the USA although I have had a private tour of the white house--no there is no secret drawer in the President's desk!

That wasn't the issue. I couldn't get away from work and I wanted my son immersed in Spanish the whole trip. That wouldn't happen if I or my wife went.

I don't know who Erykah Badu is, and even after reading her Wiki page I still don't know who she is but she is apparently well known enough to get into a twitter war with feminists

She said that we live in a sex driven society and she agreed with the idea of girls wearing knee length skirts to avoid distracting men.

As the father of a daughter who I constantly have to fight with to stop her wearing shorts where her ass hangs out, I have no problem with this sentiment.

But women are coming unglued at her about this statement.

Btw, Erykah Badu is hot for a 45 year old woman. I don't think I could wait around 1.5 hours for her to get her hair fixed in the morning though

Erykah is an interesting woman. Her music is good, if you like soul music.

She may be most famous to lay people as the woman who has a son by Andre Benjamin...the member of Outkast who made the ubiquitous song "Hey Ya" and won a Grammy for "Album of the Year" in the early aughts.

He also most recently made a HORRIBLE Jimi Hendrix biopic. The biggest problem with the movie is that Jimi's family would not clear the use of any of his music, so the director used original music (or no music) or something like that. Either way, if you can't use Jimi's music, don't make a biopic.
