I don't think the RMCP want to arrest anyone, not if they don't have to make an arrest. I think they just want to "push" the protestors out of the way and get the traffic moving again. But the police are behaving this way I think (mostly) because they really aren't afraid for their lives from these protestors. The truck drivers are harmless, just really pissed off is all. So all day, these things are just really big "scrums." All the cops link arms and form a line and all the truck drivers link arms and form a line and they just try to push each other off the field.

There is no real danger here to the police
