In the latest Tar Heel monthly magazine, they're going over all the away games and listing things to do, where to eat, etc. For the Ga. Tech game in Atlanta, they list Bone's steakhouse as "where to eat, expense account category"...

Bone's is great. I believe I posted my comments on it at Wxing's Goat Pen. Easily my favorite steakhouse in the world.
Another 'can't miss' steakhouse is Jimmy Kelly's in Nashville. Both are much better than any of the upscale chains (Ruth Chris, Morton's, Lawry's, Shula's, Fleming's, etc, etc).

Yes. I like it. It's behind Bones and Jimmy Kelly's, though.

Bones is outstanding.

That's why I posted what I did. Have you been to Peter Luger's? I ate at the Beef Mastor (link Stu just posted) last week. It's as good as ever. They bring the whole loin over to your table on a cutting board and ask you what size you want as the knife hovers over the side of beef, going thicker or thinner as you indicate. After he's cut all the steaks, they wait until you go to the salad bar before putting it on the grille. Small place, great atmosphere. They used to make a fortune during tobacco season, buyers from around the world on the company's expense account. Place is too small for a bar, so you BYOB and drink in the parking lot whilst waiting for someone to come out and tell you your table is ready. They have a permit, so nobody gets in trouble for sitting in their car and drankin...

Yes, I've done Luger's. It was good, but I really think is just a slight improvement over the big upscale chains.
Have to try the Beef Mastor.

Some friends and I are talking about going up there this weekend. It has been a while since I have eaten at the Beef Master, but it's always good.
