who gives a crap about Malzahn? I just think it's hilarious that unc has gone from "one of the best jobs in the country" to not worthy of an sec coordinator.

The hate is palpable. Excellent.

Good. Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the hate flow through you.

If Auburn can get away scot-free on the Cam Newton deal, who knows what will happen with UNC? The NCAA will look at pros and cons of sanctions and either bring the hammer down or sweep it under the rug.

Bleacher Report is just random people deciding that they want to "write" a column and voicing their opinion. It's not worth a fuck.

kev, no one ever knows what the ncaa will do in any situation. schools get hammered for very minor violation, then other schools get off scott free when the ncaa has them dead to rights on stuff that should bring the death penalty. I have been consistent that unc will receive very minor sanctions for their transgressions. the heels have proposed vacating two years worth of wins, 2 years probation and a $50k fine. the ncaa will add some token penalty to that and that will be that.

the ncaa hammered oklahoma and indiana basketball over illegal calls to recruits by kelvin sampson yet they've expressed no interest in looking at bitch's 216 records even after seeing that he never used his university issued phone. the unc compliance office has admitted they never checked to see if bitch was in compliance on his 216 phone which is a violation in itself, but he ncaa apparently isnt going to address that at all.

either the ncaa is going to absolutely hammer unc for the violations they've already got them on so there's no point into looking any further or the fix is in and the heels will get a light wrist slap. considering unc's 40 year record as a "clean" program, their status as one of espn's darling programs, and the number of unc alums working for the ncaa I'd say their going to skate. Now if Iowa St decides to hire a John blake, then watch them get burnt to the ground.

"In fact no head coach in their sane mind would go take over the North Carolina program right now; especially one as good as Malzahn."

um, Malzahn is not a head coach....

he is as soon as he accepts the job unless he coaches at Bama where apparently you have to actually coach a game to be considered head coach.

North Carolina And Ohio State Agree To Football Series

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The University of North Carolina has signed a contract to play a home-and-home football series with The Ohio State University, Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham announced Tuesday.

North Carolina will play in Columbus on September 5, 2015, and will play host to the Buckeyes on September 23, 2017. The 2017 game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools in Chapel Hill.

North Carolina and Ohio State have met just four times with the Buckeyes holding a 3-1 advantage. All four previous meetings occurred in Columbus. Carolina’s only win in the series was a 14-3 victory in 1965. OSU won the three other meetings in 1962, 1972 and 1975.

“Ohio State has outstanding tradition and is an attractive opponent for our football program,” says Cunningham. “Dick Baddour worked on this agreement for several months and I thank him for helping make this series a reality. I think this will be an exciting game for our fans and will have interest nationally as a matchup between the ACC and Big Ten.”

Carolina also has completed its 2012 schedule with a game against the University of Idaho on Sept. 29. UNC’s schedule next season features home games against Virginia Tech, NC State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Elon (Sept. 1), East Carolina (Sept. 22) and Idaho. The road slate includes games at Duke, Miami, Virginia, Wake Forest and Louisville (Sept. 15).

They should have set the series for early January since neither team will be sniffing a real bowl for a while.
