The situation room photos are great. The tension on everyone's face, from PAH to Oprama is so vivid -- being a half a world away watching something of that signficance that could easily turn out poorly. Shit, even Biden was awake. Amazing stuff, really.

Also saw that Oprama invited GWB to a Ground Zero ceremony, but that GWB declined, preferring to stay out of the spotlight as an ex-Prez. I thought it very nice gesture by Oprama and, personally, think GWB should have taken the opportunity to attend. As noted, his efforts certainly contributed to the end result. But, I understand his answer.

I wonder if there is much consideration as to whether Biden is up to the task for another term. The 'gray-haired steady-handed vet helping to bring along the novice' is pretty much out the window, if it ever was true. Maybe ol' Joe would be interested in taking it to the house where he could nap in peace.

The 2nd term VP should be someone worthy of taking the reins in 2016 anyway - the best reason why Biden ought to step aside.

Maybe even consider a moderate republican as the replacement...while there is such a thing. It's not unheard of; Kerry almost convinced McCain to be his running mate. Obama/Christie? Yeah, I know...when pigs fly..
