Quebec passes an ordinance that the unvaxxed can't go into a store larger than 1600 sq ft unless its groceries or pharmacy
People show up at Wal Mart and can't get in, call the local propaganda wing of the government to complain saying - hey Walmart and Costco have pharmacies ya jackasses
so now you show up at Wal-Mart and if you don't have a vax card, they escort you to the pharmacy, you can *only* buy your prescriptions and then they escort you out.
amazing
the same government running ads against discrimination with tax payer dollars.
Who is happy? I assume the mom and pop stores that will be seeing a 30% increase in business.
these people are burning the midnight oil trying to figure out ways to segregate the unvaxxed as opposed to figuring out ways to get the world back to normal.
Quebec is an amazing city, the people running it are idiots

look like few options to fight Omicron or future variants
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The FDA has trimmed the authorization for monoclonal antibodies made by Eli Lilly and Regeneron as recent data suggests they are not effective against the omicron variant currently driving a wave of COVID-19 infections.
States have been distributing the antibody drugs to treat COVID-19 patients even as omicron became the dominant strain in the U.S. and elsewhere. But data from the companies themselves has suggested the antibodies developed earlier in the pandemic are no longer effective.
In response, the FDA has now revised emergency use authorizations for the Lilly and Regeneron antibodies, limiting their use to patients who have been infected with or exposed to a variant that is susceptible to the treatments.

Quebec is a great city. As close to a European feel without leaving this hemisphere.
Just read this article yesterday about a reporter from Quebec who vacationed in FL recently. He thinks Florida is crazy, but gives a liberal Canadian perspective.

Quebec City is an amazing city. As is Montreal. But you are talking about a province that is at least
half full of fucking idiots.

49.4% wanted their own country. LOL! Doubt very much that their opinions have changed very much in 25 years.
It was so easy for us to spot the French separatists on the rocky beaches of Maine and the sandy beaches of Florida. The ones that were federalists, they spoke English and wore normal beach attire. The separatists, they only spoke French and wore speedos.

"Quebec is a great city. As close to a European feel without leaving this hemisphere."
When did Europe move out of this hemisphere?

North America and Europe are both in the Northern Hemisphere.
North America is in the Western Hemisphere. Europe is (mostly) in the Eastern Hemisphere. Technically, the UK, Portugal, half of Spain, and Western Africa (along with the tip of the Soviet Far East) are Western Hemisphere.

Didn't know that. Almost all of Spain is in the western hemisphere though, and part of France. I guess this mean that most of Europe isn't part of western civilization, but rather eastern civilization.

From the wiki article: "The tallest human-occupiable building or tower in the Western Hemisphere is the CN Tower, which is located in Toronto, Canada." Is there a taller un-occupiable building somewhere??

There are radio/TV antenna masts that are taller than occupied buildings usually.

Europe is technically the "old world" but still, Western Civilization.
The terms Western Civilization vs Eastern Civilization, they have nothing to do with North America per se. Its more Europe, the UK, Israel, Australia, and Western Russia (being Western) vs North Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and all of the uninhabited part of Russia which is everything East of Moscow (being Eastern.) The West is largely Christian, Jewish, or Secular, is populated with universities, are the imperial colonizers, appreciates the concept of nationalism, is technically advanced, and is mostly adapted Anglo-Saxon law. Eastern is mostly Sino, Islamic, Hindi, tribal, a bit more primitive, is not that nationalistic, and was largely colonized by the West. Western Civilization vs Eastern Civilization predates the discovery of the Western Hemisphere. Its more of a cultural, scientific, and religious difference rather than a geographic one.

aTm already said it, radio towers can be taller.
Taiwan and Singapore have incredibly tall, human occupiable buildings. When you have no land and people piled on top of people, you build up, not out.

I wouldn't consider those buildings, but what do I know?
