90 containers a day. Fuckin NINETY!

https://www.latimes.com/california/stor ... ing-tracks

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/union-pa ... 21617.html

The railroad has their police force and is making arrests. They turn them over to the LAPD and expect them to be prosecuted. Whoops.
Union Pacific CEO Fritz wrote:Our frustration is about making sure that prosecution occurs. There were a fair amount of criminals that we apprehended and booked with LAPD, only to see them back out
CEO Fritz fucking lambasted the LA County DA about this. And why? Because he should. The DA is a SJW and will not prosecute these people.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/14/economy/ ... index.html
CNN wrote:Crime is associated with increases in poverty, which has increased during the pandemic. The county's directive was intended to combat social ills that come from misdemeanor convictions, such as difficulties with employment, housing, education, government benefits and immigration.
LA County DA Gascón wrote:Studies show that prosecution of the offenses driving the bulk of misdemeanor cases have minimal, or even negative, long-term impacts on public safety
Studies? So Gascón, because of studies, you refuse to do the job you were elected to do, you cunt you.

I walk into my Wal-Mart, and the shelves are empty because the shit was robbed from the containers loaded onto the train cars in your fucking port. Half of that shit that should be on the shelf is rotting in the sun laying crushed on and next to the train tracks. But studies indicate to prosecute these people would have negative impacts on public safety. So you free who was arrested, and 90 MORE containers will be ransacked tomorrow. Excellent public safety sir.

I haven’t gone grocery shopping, locally, in the city in a long time. Only when I’m at the mountain cabin. Had to go today because the wife is spending the week in FL. Went to two places and the produce sections in both were mostly empty. In the mountains it never seemed scarce, but here in the city they run out quick.

Biden needs to lift every Covid restriction to help in getting things going again. HR departments, including my firm’s, need to lighten up with this mask wearing stay out 10 days shit. It’s over. Fewer people are dying. We’ve had enough stupidity.

yesterday spooked me a bit, I have to admit

its as bad now as it was when the pandemic first hit except not only are they out of stuff but the prices are anywhere from 25 to 125% higher on items.

I went to Costco today and spent $400 on meat, produce and pet food. Didn't feel like they were pinched from the supply chain at least. I was happy to pay $7.99 a pound for sirloin. Those were ribeye prices last year.

I don't know what you do to get the supply chain going but just like the Dems were rejoicing when Covid hit during Trumps president, I'm sure the GOP is smiling like a chesire cat that Mr. Unity and I have a plan for covid is seeing the nation fall apart in front of him.

oh, and they were out of roasted chickens at Costco - they had both machines going but it was a 36 minute wait and it looked like people were milling around waiting to scoop them up so I passed.

its a pork chop night

I mean, what kind of job is it that an employer is going to go to all the trouble to file a law suit to keep an employee who clearly doesn't want to be there? We've had dozen quit where I work, most try to give a 2 week notice, we're almost always like "nope, you can leave now." What's the point in coming in for 2 damn weeks? You don't want to be there and nobody wants you there. Just leave...

Here, it’s bananas. Can’t find them anywhere. When a store gets some, they’re gone in hours.
