I hope (to spit in their face) my lovely Senator becomes a pro-life Republican, just out of spite.

my hope is they do get it, then at mid terms the repubs take the house and senate, then elect a republican president
and they just ass rape every democratic platform there is and when they cry about it, they tell them their 5 minutes is up , sit down and STFU. You wanted this.
They want to scream about fascism but demand to able to push their agenda with the slimmest of majorities, primarily driven to override states rights.
We just had a president give a speech where he compared voting right laws in Georgia - requiring things like a valid voter ID to the civil war.
Fuck these people

They are still sore in the ass about Trump's 3 Supreme Court appointments (in just 4 years.) I'm not sure any POTUS was able to do that in one term. Running to the judiciary to have unelected judges nuke something (the way Trump's judges have been lately), is the tactic that the left uses when they lose at the ballot box and can't stop something that they don't like. The right is not supposed to be sophisticated enough to do that.

POTUS Biden is just soft. He only says what he is told to say. Someone else told him to say that requiring ID is soooooo Jefferson Davis. It makes no sense, but it's not supposed to make sense. It's supposed to hurt peoples' feelings (the people who didn't vote for Biden), its supposed to label those who demand ID to vote as a bunch of racists, AND to rile up Biden voters to be sufficiently angry enough with the OTHER side that Biden will have a mandate to do as he pleases with executive orders. And in parallel, hopefully guilt Sinema and Manchin to act like democrats and just give Biden whatever he wants.

He did his job. He got Trump out. After the 2022 dismantling of the Republican party in November, he'll probably just ride off into the sunset having saved America.

"They are still sore in the ass about Trump's 3 Supreme Court appointments (in just 4 years.)"
It's more the manner in which Mitch stole a rightful pick from Obama and then rammed Kavanaugh thru under far more egregious circumstances. I'm sure if the script had been flipped I'd be more sanguine about it, but even if you're happy with Trump's picks, you have to admit it was shady as hell the way he got them. If you're honest about it, I mean, which I certainly don't expect from the likes of you...

Honestly? Blame Mitch. Trump didn't do that. McConnell did that. Trump was just elected to take advantage of it. If HRC got elected, she would have had all 3 picks.
Both sides HAVE done it. Its just that it stung for the left when it was done to them. But if YOU are honest about it, look at what Merrick Garland has been doing lately sicking the FBI and the justice department on the parents of students who 'threaten' school board members who are teaching their children that critical-race-theory horseshit? You think that is a good idea? It tells me everything I need to know if Garland was sitting on the Supreme Court.

It was very shady. And then to shove a rapist through was ridiculous but not unexpected from Republicans. They're more worried about teaching our kids the actual dark history of racism in this country. Shameful.

My daughter asked me about the Kavanaugh fiasco, the 1200+ something questions he was asked. I told her then the same thing I would tell any of our daughters, if a boy tries to violate you (even if he fails) go to me or if I am not around, go to the police. And when I say the police, I do NOT mean the campus police. Go to the local police department. Tell people. Tell people immediately. Even if you are embarrassed, even if you were drunk and you think you may have 'led him on', tell me what happened ASAP. Tell the cops. Tell. Even if he failed and he didn't violate you, if he tried then there may still be charges to press.
The sooner you tell, the more likely you are to be believed. It has always been thus. If you don't tell, if you let it go for years (or even decades) then a significant majority of people will regard you as being as honest as Dr Blasey Ford was. They didn't believe her. I didn't believe her. I didn't believe her because it seemed (to me) that she was only NOW coming forward with her story because of the awesome power Kavanaugh was about to inherit and she wanted to try and shut him down by saying anything. After 33 years, yeah, its too late.
Common sense.

All.
Don't feel sorry for them rat. You would say the same thing to your girls, they have to go to the police. They MUST! They must because the last thing they would want is for that perp to do it whatever he did (or tried to do) to someone else. Then they would start to blame themselves for not speaking earlier. You have to come forward and speak to the ADA and see if there are any charges to press. May not happen, but that is what you need to do.
A civilized society demands this.
Dr Ford said at the age of 15 or 16, a then 18 year old Kavanaugh got drunk, found her in an upstairs bedroom. She says he attacked her, failed to get her clothes off, she got away, and she never told her parents, a friend, or the police. That was wrong. If it happened, she had to go to the police then, get it on record. Don't come out 33 years later (or whatever it was) and say what you should have said then, when you were 16, just because you are afraid that NOW this man is going to take away your right to legal abortion.

DS,
It would be so much better if you could think of any logical argument as to why a woman who was attacked by a man shouldn't IMMEDIATELY go to the police and report the crime. But nice personal attack. I suppose erecting strawmen and reframing arguments is all you've got when you know any current logical comment (from you) on the existing political arguments, are beaten.
We both know you'd tell your daughter the EXACT same thing I would if this happened to her, go to the cops.
