worldcrossing had a shyt ton of forums.... there was always some intermingling across different forums so drawing new blood was a little easier back then
once you transition to your own domain you pretty much become an island
I still don't get why most of the NBA guys didn't make their way over, this is easily the closest thing Ive seen to the WX format

Honestly, I think it was Goat Pen bias. FWIW. Sam was not a fan. All offense should be taken.

back when the there was a Detroit Pistons/Lions/Tigers forum on WX (they since moved to their own domain, best forum around for fantasy money leagues) there was a dude who retired from posting twice
neither retirement lasted long but the funny part is each time he did he made a lengthy farewell post, it was just peculiar
it's an internet message board, if you want to stop posting... then just stop posting
