all kidding aside, people should have gone to jail for that shit, but Insurrection? c'mon

everyone ...and I mean everyone should go to jail for protesting that results in destruction of property. And honestly Americans should be insulted that when protests land on the doorstep of Nancy Pelosi or AOC, only then do they get serious about breaking the law. Meanwhile mom and pop shop owners across major cities in America have to live in fear of their livelihoods being burned down over something that happened 2000 miles away.

Its bullshit.
I think there were 700 arrests and 200 people are actually charged with resisting arrest or assault. Good. You don't get to do what they did.

I don't have a problem with them sitting at the Capitol protesting. When the broke in, everything changed and they turned from protestors into criminals.

I care a great deal about it...
I am happy to hear that. I also care a great deal. That is why it angers me that what Epstein did (and everyone who was connected to him) that it isn't front page news all the time. Its a big deal.
I don't think we care about it in quite the same way...
I want all the Johns who fucked the underage girls arrested, charged, prosecuted, and convicted. What do you want?

It comes from a very ancient democracy, you see..."
"You mean, it comes from a world of lizards?"
"No," said Ford, who by this time was a little more rational and coherent than he had been, having finally had the coffee forced down him, "nothing so simple. Nothing anything like so straightforward. On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford. "It is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them," said Ford. "They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates to the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards?"
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard," said Ford, "the wrong lizard might get in.

I'm hearing that Ted Cruz bombed on Tucker Carlson tonight. It hasn't been a good week for ole Ted. I think his political calculator is broke.
