I worked a few shows at Riverbend in 85 and 86. My girlfriend was a huge hippie. It was fun. Especially confiscating joints on the lawn laced with whatever for the after party. Rivaled a Hank Jr. concert but I always thought their music was crap. Their followers were fun. Saw a lot of boobs of I would just let them keep their stash.

It was fun. Just not my thing and never understood the whole religion. A song can only go on so long. Always peaceful. Not like an ACDC concert but it did nothing for me. Back stage bored me too. They were all trying to catch butterflies that weren't there.

Now, working front row at a Tom Jones concert getting hit in the face with ladies panties was fun.

My girlfriend almost suckered me into eating one of her pbj sandwiches she was selling but I saw her eyes. That would have fucked up my day.

Those were good shows in summer of 85. It was their 20th year anniversary and they were having fun. Saw my second and third shows ever a few days after the Cinci show at Merriweather, still a couple of the best I ever attended. The next summer Jerry went into a diabetic coma about a week after the Cinci show. I thought it was all over but he recovered, thank god, and gave us 9 more years of great music. Well, 6 or 7 more years of great music, the last 2 years were hit or miss, but the shows were still fun to go to...

His wife was from here. Made a killing on selling his ties.

I shit you not: the baby stops crying, quiets down, starts smiling and acting happy when we put on some Dead shows for her. "Alexa, play a grateful dead show" does wonders.

My nephew loves Elton John. Your's will probably do a few more drugs but mine will have a flashier personality.

Horrible parenting. Rub it's gums with whiskey. Good lord.

I would not be so sure about that. Our daughter is quite the diva so far...
