Can you get Sal's fat ass out of ktown by the end of the game, AA? If you can then we have a chance at pulling this game out.

If RSanders beats us for a second straight season should we hire away as a head coach?

Tick, it isn't my speculation. These are articles from Matthews and others, as well as comments from past coaching searches etc. I didnt' come up with this, it has been getting more press during this coaching search. I had no clue why so many turned us down last time, but now more and more it appears we were turned down more because of the english department and Cheek was OK with that happening again until recent meetings. The english department intentionally harming the football program is supposedly why we had to get down to Dooley. Others looked at the situation and said not only no but hell no not with the administration being the enemy.

Again I don't think you would lie to me, thats why I said if YOU knew Gruden was coming great otherwise it was just smoke. Now it appears that Cheek won't turn loose of enough control to get him.

From what I have heard and read Cheek would be OK with going the ETSU route and destroying football until he was "educated" on the importance of football.

Just a few days ago he wouldn't comitt to helping athletics at all and said "he didn't have a plan" as well as he origionally refused to allow athletics to temporarily suspend their generous donations.

Again, this isn't coming from me. This is coming from people supposedly in the know up on the hill including Matthews.

Are you related to Cheek?

Congrats, Vol fans. Someone said the D only gave up a FG the entire 2nd half. Good work, even against Ky.

Those who know football know that there is nothing wrong with Sunseri's scheme -it's the same one, to the letter that, we have here at Bama. Just too thin with dominating LBs and no depth on the D-line. Women, and others who do not know football, will blame the brand new DC. It's the Jimmy's and Joe's - not the X's and O's.

Hey, OaF, sorry I didn't answer your e-mail earlier. Yes, a "kickie thang" is called a FG and they are worth three points. And, no, "Tenesee(sic) wasn't "robbed" when they only gave them one point. That wasn't a field goal, that "kickie thang" is called a PAT (I will explain later).

So something I am noticing alot more is these guys that go toward the sidelines and then when the defender pulls up he blows by him and tiptoes down the line.

That's smart football but it's also BS because the defender must let up by rule or he is hit with a PF for hitting the guy that sticks his toe over the line after the guy starts to hit him.

So do you penalize them for faking going out of bounds or do you go back to the way it used to be where if he was in bounds when you start the play doesn't matter if he gets a foot out of bounds before contact is made?

That's the most annoying play in football IMHO. It's unfair to the defender but it is what it is.

LMBO. I guess The Zone made up the linda bensel myers crap as well as Cheek refusing to pay coaches in the past due to "concerns with having to explain the high salary to tenured professors".

I didn't get any of that from the Zone. Part of it is from Volquest, part is from the KNS. Lots of smoke about problems with the english department, and I distinctly remember the bullcrap of LBM.

I also saw the quotes from Cheek saying he had "no plans" etc etc.

Of course I don't "know jack". I only know what is reported but these are reputable reporters that are reporting that lots of the problem with finding a coach is directly due to the meddling of the english department.
