It's like what coach champ said, you guys were just two big plays from being in the game.

I'm glad we're off this week. Florida was physical. Have several people banged up. It's also obvious we need to work on protecting the ball. Florida was attempting to strip on just about every play, and it worked for three fumbles lost.

Now, about this Saturday. Didn't know much about them, but apparently Open hasn't ever lost a game. It could be a long weekend.

Looking back, Muschamp was right. 3 big plays from Bama netted over 200 yards of offense and at least 14 points. This game was tied with only 5:27 left to play in the third quarter.

People will look at the 645 yards of total offense and the three TD win and remember a different game, though.

It's not that Florida lost to Bama. It's that the Gators lost so badly and looked so bad in the process.

I never thought that was particularly clever. To each their own, though.

Like I said, it was tied until just a few minutes before the 4th. I mentioned that to one of my friends, a Georgia alum, and he argued with me...."I watched the game. You guys started pulling away in the early second quarter."

Well, he argued with me until I offered to bet him and that's when he got out his phone and looked up the box score on ESPN.com. The he said something like, "well score-wise you weren't pulling away, but momentum- wise you were." Which is, of course, bullshit.

Anyway, so if Florida looked bad, we did too - for most of the game, that is.

The game was 'still tied with a few minutes left in the 3rd' because the Tide spent the previous 7 minutes hammering the the Gator D in a relentless drive. Then after a 3-and-out they did it again. Nick had already shown his O could torch UF's secondary in single play scores, so he controlled the clock and put the game away just like Osborne did in the Fiasco Bowl.

Hey if UF doesn't get its act together in time for Tenny, the glass will be about a third full at best.

It's a likely loss - straight up. Ole Miss is simply playing better ball, they're hungry, and they're at home.
