Brennaman missed his chance to use the term "Kansas City faggot," but instead he went with "fag capital of the world." He should be fired.

The best part was in the middle of his apology somebody hit a home run and he paused his apology to give cursory coverage to the home run and then went right back to the apology...

I felt a little sorry for him when the gravity of the situation dawned on him and he was like "I may not be working here much longer... I may never work again... I may never see any of you again..." It is kinda funny that Slim Pickins can say it and get nominated for an Oscar and this guy says it and his professional life is utterly destroyed. I bet most gay people don't even care. I mean, the cool gay people, not the little faggothy gay people...

Had he attended Carolina like his father and not the University of Ohio like Rat, he would have had enough sense to avoid this crap...

You just know he was dying to comment on how Castellanos looked a little light in the loafers rounding those bases.

The classes would have been fake, with phony grades, but at least the NCAA would have let him get away with it.

I feel sorry for the dude. He's our age. We grew up with the term fag to cover gay people. Especially that queer Kevin down the street. It slipped. Things happen. Fired by Fox NFL and probably losing his Reds job is way to harsh. He fucked up. We all do. Should he lose his livelihood over it? And yes, Kansas City has a bunch of fags. San Francisco might have been a stronger argument but they were in Kansas City

Gotta be tough for players to keep quiet considering the other team can hear everything. Can't bitch at somebody or nothing.

Lou Brock died today. I didn't know he was still alive but seeing that he died made me think of the time Logan wanted to trade me for a Topps Lou Brock card because he was a big Cardinals fan. I wasn't going to do it but finally relented because Logan couldn't get Kenny Stokes (the Jehovah's Witness kid in the class who showed up at our 20th class reunion with a super young, hot wife, maybe Russian, according to Logan who was apparently still bitter) to come down on his demands. So Logan dealt me the 1976 Hank Aaron card (last of his career) for Lou Brock. Then I got Lou Brock in the very next pack of cards I bought, giving Logan an early lesson in trading.

The upshot of this story is that Kenny Stokes ended up with a hot, young Russian wife and Logan has had a somewhat successful career as a trader while I've still got the Aaron and Brock cards and not much else.
