We did not look good vs SoMiss. At all. Yeah, we won, 52-12, and the people who didn't see the game will see the score and think the Tide rolled ...but this is a baaaad SoMiss team, and we scored a TD as time expired. You heard right. We punched it in from the 1 with 16 seconds left (instead of taking a knee like we normally do) to make the score look better...That 12 points the Golden Eagles scored wasn't two lucky, late TDs in mop-up time with 2 missed 2-point conversions....no, it was 4 field goals, from sustained drives, mostly kicked from the 20-yard line, give or take a few yards. This bad SoMiss team ended with over 200 yards passing.

We're just not that good. We have huge gaping holes in our coverage and teams like SoMiss are gashing us (So Miss, a team that lost to MissState 49-0 and struggled to beat Alcorn State 26-20).

I will be shocked if we beat the Gators. Yep, I think that they're gonna punch us in the mouth in our own house and take our lunch money. And, if by some miracle we do pull it out of our ass and win, I see us losing to at least one of the Mississippi schools (maybe both), Auburn, TAMU, and probably splitting the Tenn/LSU games.

So, this is shaping up to be an, at best, 8-4 season and going to the Outback Bowl or whatever.

Oh, and making it worse, we'll go a half without our starting safety who will be on the bench for targeting. So, the secondary that got scorched by one of the worst teams in FBS for over 200 yards passing will be a starter short for half the game vs Florida.

Sigh...

Nick running it up on SoMiss to impress the committee.

Sad.

Correct. Sort of...The committee he is impressing isn't the playoff committee it is the Outback Bowl Committee. Because we'd rather play our second-tier bowl game in Florida in January than Memphis, Nashville or Atlanta (which are all distinct possibilities).

The Gators are going to beat you in the Loose? Did you SEE the UK/UF game?

It might not be a complete blowout but Driskel can't throw more than 10 yards so a good defensive backfield is not required.

We'll make Driskel look like some Marino-Favre-Manning-Brady RoboQB. He'll be picking bits of burnt crimson jersey from his mechanical jaws for weeks. The field will run red in an unfortunate soup of our own blood, tears, and despair.

oh good Lord, save the 'I'll be shocked' sandbagging for any of the other SEC West Division teams, all of which appear to have at least a puncher's chance against the Tide. UF will need a complete Tide brain fart to win this one and that just doesn't happen in the Saban era. The corner blitzes Nick sends which go unchecked will remind people of Poland in 1939.

The best I can hope for is some inspired UF play, a couple of Tide turnovers and penalties to have something closer than the 31-3 beatings of the last two trips to BD.

You could have saved yourself a bunch of keystrokes and just wrote that you don't understand anything about football instead of writing out that drool-spattered rant.

Either you saw nothing of UF's fortunate escape on its own field last night or you were looking in the mirror when blathering about knowing nothing about football.
Then again it could be your usual Sunday morning bloviation about how bad your Top 10 team is. It's sort of like watching Old Faithful spew.

It's really nice seeing AA back to his old sandbagging self. Tradition says it should have been posted just before the season starts, I guess better late than never. All that's missing is a good old fashioned "G,BIIT."

The Tide will drill the Gators to the tune of what gule said.
