LMAO

Well, if it's any consolation, kudos to you for still knowing the colloquial meaning. My guess is that a significant population of those who read your post even knew the other context.

No, Google seems to confirm it's a Hatian proverb.
Well shit, I withdraw my praise of you taking that genre of sass to another level. You just got lucky...

gotta love politicians

Feb 16

The scenario Karl Rove outlined was bleak.

Addressing a luncheon of Republican governors and donors in Washington on Feb. 19, he warned that Donald J. Trump’s increasingly likely nomination would be catastrophic, dooming the party in November. But Mr. Rove, the master strategist of George W. Bush’s campaigns, insisted it was not too late for them to stop Mr. Trump, according to three people present.

At a meeting of Republican governors the next morning, Paul R. LePage of Maine called for action. Seated at a long boardroom table at the Willard Hotel, he erupted in frustration over the state of the 2016 race, saying Mr. Trump’s nomination would deeply wound the Republican Party. Mr. LePage urged the governors to draft an open letter “to the people,” disavowing Mr. Trump and his divisive brand of politics.

less than 2 weeks later.....Feb 26

Maine Gov. Paul LePage endorsed Donald Trump for president Friday, lending the GOP front-runner the backing of another northeastern governor on the same day Chris Christie offered his support.

"I'll be very honest. I originally said I'd like it to be a governor, but unfortunately, the American people are not going for a governor this year. So I'm going to endorse Donald Trump," LePage said on the "Howie Carr Show," a syndicated talk radio show based in Boston.

LePage endorsed Christie in July, but switched gears after Christie dropped out of the race. LePage's endorsement comes mere hours after Christie endorsed Trump at a rally in Texas.

"I was Donald Trump before Donald Trump became popular. So I think I should support him since we're one of the same cloth," said LePage, an outspoken politician whose comments have often thrown him in the spotlight -- just like Trump.

You gotta admit, Trump vs the PAH would be highly entertaining.

The Senate better accept Obama's SCOTUS nomination IMMEDIATELY now. HRC is coming to 1600 next January and her nomination will be a LOT less moderate and TONS more on the Left than whomever Obama nominates. The GOP brand is taking a beating, right now, basically giving Clinton an unimpeded path to the POTUS. It's to the point now where she could probably Tweet classified documents and still win a general election against the remaining GOP field. Whatever long-term chances Rubio has had in national politics is harmed after this past weekend's "Yo Mama" fest he had with Trump. Brutal.

(also, Trump is going to get the GOP nod, in no small part, because of Citizens United. Scalia did more harm than good on that ruling)

I think Hillary would put up a moderate. She's more Republican than Trump, really.

If she doesn't, she will have a tough time getting the 60 votes.

He is spending his own money so I'm not sure how it is a factor.

Trump single handedly ended the Bush dynasty

For that alone he should be praised

and I agree - Hillary would go moderate - assuming she isn't a felon by then

I am actually unsure what Trump getting nominated would mean. He would likely get a lot of the moron blue collar vote that is a democrat bloc just like he is getting the moron republican vote. He might win vs Hillary, as crazy as that shit sounds.
