So how did you all like Lane Kiffin's offense?

30 first downs, 538 yards of total offense: 288 yards rushing (5.9 avg), 250 yards passing (24 of 33 for a 72.7% comp rate), 90 plays, 38 min t.o.p....offense was fine. A lot of potential.

The problem were the corners, specifically Brad Sylvie.

Correct AA... plenty of potential. He's a very good OC. I don't think offense has been his issue at any of his previous stops. Although, I'd sure like to see D. Henry and OJ Howard get a few more touches each. Those guys are just exceptional athletes.

I still wonder why, as well as Saban recruits, we can't consistently get a really quality corner and safety.... especially Saban being a DB guy.

Well, we get a few but they leave early, Kareem Jackson, Dre, Rashad Johnson, Menzie, Dee Milliner...and that hurts.

Your players leave early at every position, not just DB. There is seldom a dropoff at those other positions.

With roughly 100% of our starting safeties and corners leaving early, the depth of experienced players suffers. It's not a position that is as deep as WR and RB, as well.

Roughly 100%?

Yes. Margin of error -2.33% (repeating).

All Bama's DB's are all presumably all 4 or 5 star players since Saban doesn't accept anything less. The talent is there.

Okay. Did you read what I wrote? Can you contrast the difference between talent and experience?

Put down the claymore, AA. My pointing out that your DB's are talented is not a contradiction of your point that they are inexperienced.

Of course we have talent. We are Alabama and we have Nick Saban as head coach. In other news, water is wet and fire is hot. The question, at any position at Alabama, is not raw talent and hasn't been since at least 2008.

That doesn't make sense. The tone and word choice would not lead anyone to make that connection.

Don't be an idiot. Idiot.
