in his lifetime he survived being machined gun while in a jeep cherokee in El Salvador, 2 suicide bombings - one on the beach where he saw the boy set the bomb in a radio down, and another in an Army mess hall as he was leaving. The man he was having a conversation with at the time was decapitated - oh and he was literally run over by an Israeli tank putting him in the hospital for several months and crushed his wind pipe. The man in the car next to him was crushed to death. My wife's mom - his wife at the time flew from Atlanta to wherever he was in a middle east hospital only to find his mistress by his bed side, which led to their divorce once he was back on his feet.
