He died so he wouldn't have to testify at Sandusky's trial

The Giants should have lost. 2 fumbles = 10 points and the NFC title. the first one by Williams was unforgivable. SF's offense is shit but its defense beat the living fuck out of Manning. the Giants were not going to drive more than 30 yards after midway through the 3rd quarter and it took a great throw by Eli and great catch by Manningham to convert the TD after Williams' botch.

Ravens did everything today but win.

lots of goats in these games today.

Billy, don't be a hero.

It's a good thing Ron Mexico wasn't alive to see his Ravens blow their opportunity because yesterday's game would have certainly killed him...

If Marvin doesn't make the playoffs or advance past the first game Gruden will be the new coach. I think Mikey has already told him that.

Never happy to see a person die...but JoePa as it turned out was not a great person. He accomplished a lot of things through longetivity and won two national titles (one by a total bs call in 1982...but I digress) but let's keep it in perspective. The guy also sold out a lot of young boys for the sake of maintaining his legacy. In the long run the guy was a fraud. Sorry to those PSU fans who see him as a God. He wasn't.

RIP JoePa. I hope the boys who were tormented by your DC can live a long productive life as well. They won't. So basically I hope you rot in hell.

Paterno didn't do anything wrong. it's funny that everyone has tried and convicted of something for which he had no part and Sandusky has even had his day in court. it's a fucking witch hunt put together by sign-holding women, of which apparently Wiz is one.

this idiotic argument that people were covering up Sandusky's behavior to preserve a legacy makes no sense. where were the parents and guardians of these kids? why was it Paterno's responsiblity to take the lead prosecutorial role when all he had to go on was McQueary's half-baked description? I would have done with the same thing if I was Paterno. Call my boss and say someone claims to have seen Sandusky buggering a kid in the shower. That's the end of my obligation if that's all the info I had. for all I know, Wiz is tossing a 9-year-old's salad while he posts. based on what Rat has posted about Wiz, I probably should be held accountable for not calling the FBI and reporting both of them. I hope eCat doesn't fire me from this place.

Wiz is just mad because his Sandusky pipeline was cut off after his arrest.

I definitely don't go so hardcore against JoePa. I think he did what was required...only what was required (and he should be held accountable, for the good and bad of that decision). I also slightly weight downward the "bad" from my assessment because he's such a ancient cat. The whole thing probably confused him enough that he wasn't sure what to make of any of it. Send it to the campus police (which is an incorporated police force) and then go back to teaching blocking and tackling. That's all he ever understood.

(and when that was taken from him, he called it a day)
