The fathers of these kids never would have known that their children were being taught this critical race theory garbage had it not been for covid-19 and the zoom call class. A couple dad's started listening to what their kids were hearing from the teacher.

President Biden is doing what President Obama did, weaponizing federal agencies to go after political opponents. Obama used the IRS. When questioned as to why she went after conservative groups for their tax exempt status, the IRS director Lois Lerner simply took the 5th Amendment to every single question in the Senate hearing. I expect the same thing for the FBI and the Justice department.

They are just weaponizing federal agencies to attack people for their political opposition. That is all this is. And no one will be held accountable in government for any of it. Now, I don't think these parents will go to prison (or even be charged) but they are being investigated. We are wasting FBI money and resources for the sole purpose of getting concerned fathers to SHUT THE FUCK UP with their "racist questions." That's all.

No.

Cotton and Hawley and Byron Donalds are asking the really tough, precise, important questions. They are cutting through all the bullshit and getting right to the heart of the matter. And they are doing so with perfect communication skills, perfect articulation. Everyone understands EXACTLY what they are asking and why they are asking it. And it is blatantly obvious why these people who are being asked these questions, why they refuse to answer them sincerely. To answer sincerely is to prove that they are purely political looking to take a job where they are not elected.

Remember Brett Kavenaugh? Remember the Senate putting him through hell? They sure did, he went to hell and back. He went to hell, his wife went to hell, and his children even spent time in hell. And they asked him lots of questions. And to those questions his answers were....

yes
or
no

That's it. He didn't get into the bullshit. He answered them directly. Do you remember this party? No. Do you even remember who she was? Yes. Did you have a relationship with her? No. Did you rape this girl? No. Did you touch this girl. No.

Under oath, all those questions answered directly. That is the way these things are supposed to go.

The problem is, it was really only the GOP who were asking him the tough questions!!!!!! The democrats didn't really ask him much of anything because they knew (as we all did) what his answers would be and his answers would make their questions look ridiculous. So they created narratives and mentioned pointless things about what he wrote in his high school yearbook to try and paint a picture of what this man would be later in life. They asked him about his yearbook, not about Dr Ford's accusation of an attempted rape. They didn't actually ask him anything about the women who accused him because one of them was blessed out to be a complete liar and the other, she didn't have even one person that she could think to mention that would concur with her story!

I digress. These Senate inquiries are all just dog and pony shows. Dems wont ask a challenging question because their minds are made up. Its really just a matter of a show of hands who gets appointed to these judge posts or not. That's all. Democrats certainly aren't listening to any of what Hawley, Cotton, or Donalds are asking.

Kavanaugh was the rapist right? Or was that the Bevis and Butthead guy? Or was it underage girls? Was he the one the Repubs ran through going against their stance on Obamas appointment? Or was that the whole Comey something? Confusing right?

we've entered an era - this didn't start under Biden, it didn't start under Trump. Its been going on for decades, but now its so just in your face

government policy is now "you know its bullshit, we know its bullshit, but what are you going to do about it" approach to governing.

The latest example is Yellen telling people Banks reporting $600 or more in transactions being reported to the IRS is targeted for the wealthy and its not a look into the pocketbooks of Americans.

She knows that is bullshit and just like tobacco executives saying nicotine isn't addictive, she is putting her agenda (the Biden agenda) ahead of the well being of Americans.

I am trying to make sense of Yellen's point. I understand the concept of reporting the $10,000+ transaction. It cuts down on drug trafficking. It makes it much easier for law enforcement to find you and for government to prosecute. That makes sense.

But why would forcing banks to report every transaction of $600 or more to the IRS cut down on tax fraud? I am open to having my mind changed around on this but I don't see how people in the gig economy (who work for cash to avoid paying tax) wouldn't just make multiple deposits of $599 to game the system.

The proposal is not the reporting of transactions over $600. Its reporting the inflow and outflow amounts of any account where more than $600 total has changed hands. Basically the result would allow them to compare how much income you reported vs how much you deposited and spent for pretty much everyone in the country. Basically what will happen is average joe will spend a shitload of his savings in a single year at home depot because his wife wants to renovate and it will create a huge tax hassle to prove where you got the money in an audit. Thats my prediction of the median result.

yep, sell your mower for $700 and you deposit cash in the bank? IRS knows about it now. Do they know you sold your mower? nope, they just know you came up with $700 cash that wasn't on a w-2

but they are going after the billionaires............

You gotta figure everything will be automated eventually. Probably put a lot of accountants out of bidness, but who needs them if everything bank transaction is set to the IRS. You won't even need to file a tax return, they'll just send you a bill every year telling you how much you owe, based on your banking transactions for that year...
