Odd as it may seem, there's a few things about Rat's post that I actually agree with.

I thought it was you posting that at first. Damn, Rat has become an old man shaking his fist on the porch. Don't worry Rat, you'll be dead soon and nobody will remember or care, just like you don't remember or care about the old fucks talking about life and baseball from the 40's and 50's and thinking young punks like you would never get it. Just like the old fucks from the 20's and 30's thought about them. Etc, etc. It never changes and it never ends...

Don't cry hedge. It's ok to be clueless. You've made it this far.

Pittsburgh was smart to change their minds. Hurdle had to go.

They needed to get rid of more than just Hurdle. Traded away Cole, Glasnow, and Meadows for a handful of beans. Miami Marlins have a better outlook than us.

Braves in 5. Cards are overrated and their pitching will not be better than Braves hitting.

I didn't realize things were falling back on tradition this year, which means the Braves choke away another amazing opportunity and the Cards make the most of their chance. If I was smart I'd pick St. Louis to go all the way but since I'm not it'll be the Astros that win everything. And in any case the one thing that is certain is that the Yanks will get spanked by whoever they play next.

I wonder if there has ever been a WS where the road team won every game.

lol @ crotch's meme.
Moving on to next season the Mets are going to have ridic-a-lus offense. If they can address some pitching issues they may turn into the Yankees lite. Plus I think Beltran will be a good fit. The NL East in general should be off the hook although I tend to say that every year and it rarely pans out.
