no I think A-K is right

I understand why Scheyer did it but Proctor was Duke's guy in end game ISO situations. They'd never admit that because the world demanded it be Flagg

but the guy has a history of making mental mistakes in end game situations.

That didn't change tonight. Its easy for me to say it now but its not the first time I've said it on here.

Flagg was in position for the rebound on Houston's missed 3 after they had stolen the Duke inbounds pass with 25 seconds to play, but the Houston big just went in and slammed it in to cut it to one. I get it, that's the way the ball bounces sometimes, but the dude is 6'11" and in position under the basket and he didn't even sniff the rebound. At least make the guy go over your back or something.

Then he gets called for a foul on the rebound of a missed Duke free throw. Of course the announcers were saying "that should've been a play-on" and admittedly he wasn't outright grabbing the dude's arm, but he was clearly impeding the guy's arm from getting the rebound. I would say any objective fan wouldn't have gone nuts if they hadn't called that on him (but any Houston fan sure would have), but nobody can say it was a bad call, he clearly had his hand over the guy's arm on a rebounding play and was impeding the guy from making a play.

Finally, he badly misses the last shot of the game, 3 feet inside the free throw line, ball barely hit the front of the rim. That's three bad plays in crunch time. Yeah, he's 18 years old, blahblahblah, whatever. I'm not saying he choked, but he did cost Duke the game...

Things got testy in the Devil's Den last night:

I’m sorry but of all the fuckd up officiating that was bull *****

DukeAgain1 said... (original post) The will is coaching

***** off! Nobody likes you here. Everybody who knows basketball knows how good of a coach Scheyer is and he will continue to get better. You can not like how he was chosen but the guy can coach and you need to back off your childish, non-sensical schtick

dukekrazo said... (original post) Well no *****. Sampson is a great coach with a lot of experience and a very experienced team. Scheyer, with a lot less experience and less experi...
Imagine what this Duke team would have been if they had a coach that actually had experience and actually had good xs and Ks .
Cooper hasn’t hit that fadeaway turnaround jumper consistently - why would Scheyer draw that up ? lol

Dude kill your self or kill your family idk why you are even here . I hope you get cancer and your family gets aids and anyone that knows you gets raped. Seriously I hope you F U CK ING DiE

Man shut your dumb **** up - you don’t k low wtf you’re talking about .

I hope you die seriously in the worst way imaginable

Scheyer & Co. totally $hit the bed. How the f did this happen. Losing to UNC in F4 was bad, but this is right up there. Bottom line, Houston wanted it more, I really thought we had the intestinal fortitude. I was wrong. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. Ya hate to pick one guy out but Tyreese Proctor should be embarrassed the way he played tonight, he just didn't show up, he choked when it counted. Cooper was great very good, but games like this is where legends are born. He couldn't finish either.

Can you please die of cancer ?

9 foot 8 inch standing reach. Lol zero rebounds

Scheyer absolutely choked. Everyone in the country knew Proctor and Maulach WERE WALKING ZOMBIESSSSS AND HE DID NOTHING BUT SHORTEN THE BENCH.

Gillis WHO HASNT DONE JACK ***** ALL SEASON getting MAJOR mintues over Foster or Evans is pathetic. Foster was 10x tougher than Gillis…your lame **** Tech changed the entirety of the game

Leaving Proctor in WHO SHOOTS 50% FROM THE LINE was inexcusable. I guarantee Evans knocks those down. Hit the portal and never come back.

Can’t even design an inbound pass play…hey here’s an idea…GET SION OFF THE IN BOUNDS PASSB HE CANT HANDLE

Everyone knew Flagg would choke 0-4 in game winning situations and you just roll the ball out there like play ground Cal

Biggest choke in program history…one and dones will never win a championship. Absolute black eye on the program and everyone involved legacy. Nothing to be proud of for winning a mid major conference this season

The over the back on the FT was questionable but the ball did end up in Houston's possession anyway. Flagg had a low foul total and a few others did not, also stopped the clock instantly. It was a favorable call for Duke.

Houston's plan was clearly to contain Flagg as well as possible but shut everyone else down. Flagg went ham ofc, Knueppel had 3 3's, but other than that, the plan worked.

Looks like he pushed off to gain an advantage, however slight it may have been. Regardless, Duke choked and it's not the refs' fault

I picked Houston to win the NC. But I will be rooting for Florida since rat is the only one of us here who has any real rooting interest in this NC. So, I'll root for Florida. For rat.
