I had a Grand Marquis before I got my current car. Had almost 300K on it. Hated to give it up, but my dad had the Buick with 100K on it just sitting there not getting driven, so I swapped. My dad was a Buick guy for many years until a salesman called him Chief. He went Toyota after that. The salesman was annoying as fuck & if we didn't get my dad out of there he was gonna belt him. Only time I've seen him that mad besides when I got 4 Fs in college.

The Roadmaster was on the same frame as the Caprice/Impala and Fleetwood. Those were great cars and still bring a decent price on the used market if they're in good shape since they haven't been manufactured in nearly 30 years. My grandmother always drove Park Avenues and then whatever replaced the Park Avenue (was it the Lucerne?). Those were roomy, good riding, decent driving cars for the buck.

My favorite was the huge Grand Marquis Broughams of the 70’s, bigger than most tiny houses. Us kids could lay all over those. He also had Chevy Blazers as his company vehicle. Those things now sell for a pretty penny. Would love to own one.

I have a 2016 CT6 along with my 2020 Silverado. Couldn’t get hardly anything for a trade-in on the CT6, so just kept it to commute.

The Park Avenue's were good cars, esp. the Ultra model. I wouldn't bet on the Ultra against a Tesla or a Porsche in a race, but I'd bet on it against 90% of the cars on the road. Those things would fly...
