I hear Joker Phillips will be available; he could bring Sanders with him.

Even Paul "Bear" Bryant wouldn't overcome the negativity surrounding the Vol program at the moment. Showering habits were even worse than they originally appeared

Won't matter. Vandy is passing you in the fast lane laughing at you while you change another flat tire. Did you vote Republican too?

Tennessee athletic director Dave Hart was meeting with the team as the reports began filtering out through various sources.

Paul Finebaum’s twitter feed reportedly has stated Volquest posted a report that Coach Dooley has been fired. I dont' have an account on VQ. However, if that were true we could see such a headline on their website. I'm looking over VQ pretty good at the moment. I'm not seeing any indication Dooley has been fired.

I'm sitting here watching Dooley's Monday press conference. If he's out of a job, he doesn't act like it.

Wow. The play where Tyler kicked the ball on 4th down, Tyler was actaully supposed to go for it and didn't realize it. He misread the signals from the sideline.

Yeah, Tyler is NFL bound. LOL

I know people are upset with Dooley and think he should be shown the door at the end of the season. I'm not quite prepared to fire him although I don't blame anyone for thinking he should be fired nor will I be suprised or upset if he is forced to leave. Taken as a whole, his decision making has been pretty good. Yeah, playing to run out the clock when we had 40 seconds left to play with our explosive offense was a jaw dropper. But that is just one decision in an entire game.

Having said that, what happened during the game yesterday wasn't his fault. Again, our offense does the job they are supposed to. Yet, our defense shows they suck the Jolly Green Giant's nut sack. If our starters with several years of experience performed like they were supposed to (I'm looking right at you Coleman...), Missouri would not have been able to come back. Our secondary and our safeties are fucking lost when its a pass play and they have to cover.

Watching the coach during the press conference, Dooley had the look of a person who talked to his boss, believes he isn't going to be fire, and therefore looks like he has dodged a bullet for the time being. I suspect he and the AD had a chat with the result being a search is now under way to replace some or all of the defensive coaching staff.

If Dooley stays, he better get things going next season. If not, I'm quite positive his contract won't be renewed.

I would keep Dooley a couple more years/however long it is before Peyton retires, then hire Peyton...win/win.
