My earliest recollections of Dave Winfield was the mid-latter 70's. Too young to know two interesting things about him that showed how great an athlete he was:
1. Drafted by 3 sports and 4 leagues (NBA and ABA)
2. Went straight to major leagues. Didn't play in the minors.

So Cespedes stepped in a hole on a ranch and violently broke his ankle in like 5 places. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the New York Mets. As long as Bobby Bonilla is on the payroll, and he will be until like 2035, this kind of shit will keep happening.
