My earliest recollections of Dave Winfield was the mid-latter 70's. Too young to know two interesting things about him that showed how great an athlete he was:
1. Drafted by 3 sports and 4 leagues (NBA and ABA)
2. Went straight to major leagues. Didn't play in the minors.
