I get why but its a stupid move on UNC to retain Davis one more year and lose out on an obvious candidate like Otzel.

Its a game changing moment for the program in an era where winning and revenue are a premium to the quality of life at the school

The AD needs to go if he doesn't act on this out of sentimentality. No one outside of Chapel Hill would fault UNC from moving on from Davis.

Otzelberger is a really good coach, but I don't think he's leaving Iowa State. His wife played basketball there and TJ just signed a contract extension.

here's the thing - I don't even care. What we've learned is a talented upper classman in the transfer portal is probably more effective than a 5 star freshmen looking to be a one and done.

so I'm happy to get the kid if he chooses UK, but I won't think twice about him if he chooses UNC. Especially if he takes a huge chunk of UNC's NIL money opening up the transfer portal for another Koby Brea/LaMont Butler level player

Caleb Wilson is Hube the Rube’s last ditch attempt to save his ass. His pitch to AJ Dybantsa was, “I need a player like you to showcase here.” Inside Carolina reported that UNC offered Dybantsa their biggest bag ever. They also stated Wilson got the 2nd highest offer they’ve ever made. This fool is probably paying Caleb Dybantsa money to come to Chapel Hill and be a program savior. Caleb is no AJ. I don’t care if we get him or not. I just hope Hubert Davis is not his coach.
