If it weren’t for the Reds, the Pirates wouldn’t have any wins.

good documentary about Ted Williams on Netflix.

I kind of miss how much I loved MLB as a kid, but I would have been crazy about it during the late 40's.

I sat in front of the TV every Saturday with Joe and Tony and kept score, which I taught myself

And all that hard work paid off with the winning of the coveted Coach's Award in 10th grade, given to the guy whose not really good enough to contribute on the field, but sucks the coach's ass and keeps score. Congrats!

I like going to MLB games, but can't sit down for 2.5 hours to watch a game on TV. I quit watching when I was in college - consequently thats when I stopped playing too.

Actually that's not true - I did get into baseball during the Sid Bream Atlanta Braves days.

Can't sit through a TV game either. Too slow and boring like hedge

I didn't keep stats in high school. I played most of the time. I did not, however, win a position by having to Sprint on to the practice field and try to beat Jeff Cunningham there to be the starting right tackle while the rest of the team and coaches howled in laughter

I can't even watch a 40 minute college hoops game on TV. If it's a big game for UNC, I'll check in in the first half and watch the second. I don't watch football much anymore and hardly any baseball

I can still watch basketball but I'm so damn OCD about it now its mental. If I'm standing up when UK takes the lead then I have to stand up for the rest of the game, if I turn the game on late and they have the lead and lose it, then I have to listen to the game on ESPN radio because I'm the reason they lost the lead.

Probably 20 other superstitious things going on.

I can watch college football and the NFL. The thing about football and basketball is they are winter sports so I usually don't have much going on anyways, but baseball - I always have something going on in the summer. I had to listen to the Auburn game on the radio because it was a great day outside so I sanded the rust and put bondo on my old truck all day.

Yeah, I just expect my team is always going to lose and my life will continue to get worse until it's over so I quit worrying about the superstitious shit

Same. I check in on the first half but watch the second half if it looks good.

Lately I have been recording games, you can start watching over an hour after tip-off and fast forward thru the commercials and halftime and watch the whole game in like 45 minutes or less...

Do that too. Just not games I want to watch hours later. I never end up watching those because of the internet and radio. I always stumble over the score before I get a xhance to watch it.
