The amount of gambling that goes on during a PGA tournament is such that the story itself really isn't all that shocking when you consider the overall environment. You can watch rounds and see players discreetly -- to the point you need to know what you're looking for -- pass each other cash from bets like that.

The gambling during practice rounds is even more prevalent.

All athletes gamble. Only white privilege fucktard golfers do it out in the open.

Talk about putting from the rough if he had made it to the green.

Here's to hoping you're the victim of a Memphis Monday before the clock strikes midnight...

Some dude in Wilson, known for violent temper on the golf course, angrily smashed an iron on a tree on the course one-day and it bounced back and the club head stuck in his chest and killed him instantly. I made a point to not smash irons into tree trunks thereafter

Kid did that at Walnut Creek in Goldsboro several years ago on the side of a golf cart and the iron shaft bounced just right into his leg hitting an artery. He damn near bled out.

I throw my clubs to be safe...

What is the better course in Goldsboro? Lane Tree or Walnut Creek?

Walnut Creek by a mile. I think it's still private though.

Lane Tree is ok and could be a really nice course (1) if it wasn't prone to flooding near the river and (2)if Bill Lane would put the money into it that it needs, but I think he has been drained of most of his liquidity by his dipshit sons and some bad development investments.

I've never played at Walnut Creek but I have played at Lane Tree several times. Therefor, I'll say Walnut Creek. Actually, DS is right, Lane Tree isn't bad, but nothing special. I've heard from more than a few people that Walnut Creek is well above average...

wife works with special needs kids that are in high school

She was telling me she was on a Xoom call with a parent yesterday and a boy with downs syndrome belly crawled into her room, got next to the desk and started playing fart noises on his phone during the call.

I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard, she was looking for a sympathetic voice and couldn't understand how I thought that was funny.

Seeing UNC ranking just slightly over UVa ("The" University, as they like to call themselves) I found rather interesting. Afterall, Clarese Starling of the FBI said of her Alma Mater, "It's not a charm school." I knew Michigan was way up near the top with Berkley.
