"however the second season did have my favorite episode to date which is called "Nebraska"."

That was definitely the most realistic episode, at least in terms of how people would really act in zombie world. But of course it then reverted back to form at the end when they saved the kid who had just been shooting at them because he had a fence spike thru his leg. I guess I could understand just shooting him so he wouldn't have to die by zombie teeth, but even then, I would begrudge wasting a bullet. But no, they saved him, took him back to camp, fixed him up, and then spend two episodes deciding what to do with him. I'd like to see a show (maybe they could even make Walking Dead more like this in future episodes) where the situation is more like The Road, which is more what the bar scene in the Nebraska episode was like...

What was the deal with Shane? Did he become a zombie right before Rick shot him? And then after that, didn't Rick inform everybody that they were all infected, but they just hadn't turned yet? My back went out about 2 weeks ago and I've been medicating, so by the time I got to that episode, I was kinda in a fog...

Rick actually knew they turned without a bite going back to the CDC episode, but you only turn if you die which is why they were finding some zombies without bite marks. So Shane didn't turn zombie until after he died from being stabbed by Rick. And Carl the shithead worthless bastard who should be dead 5 times over is the one who shot zombie Shane.

I guess the reason why Nebraska is my favorite episode is because Rick finally quit fucking around with the moral dilemma and decides people need killing.

season 3 is all about the struggle to live within society rules and just going feral. There is very little zombie threat in it. Some people love it. I fast forwarded thru about 80% of it.

The main point of the show to me is trying to keep the human factor alive and not just going all ape shit anarchy. Strength in numbers but also order and a chain of command.

"Pretty Much Dead Already" is the seventh episode of the second season and if that doesn't move you (well if you have seen the previous ones), then there is no hope for any of us.

I've said it here before, this was the first time a television show really got to me, broke my heart, and almost made me cry. From her mom seeing her there, to the entire party that was just split on the decision to kill them and disobey Hershel, to Rick's wife who is pregnant and holding her only son back and having to watch it, and then Rick making the cold but necessary decision to finish her while the others looked on. The entire time I was watching this, I will saying to myself don't be in there, don't be in there, and sure enough.......

"I guess the reason why Nebraska is my favorite episode is because Rick finally quit fucking around with the moral dilemma and decides people need killing."

Until the guy who was just shooting at him needed emergency care while zombies were closing in, and he decided to do the "right" thing and help the kid...

See, I've been thinking that everybody would've moved on and gotten to the "that's not him anymore, that's not my mom/dad/child/friend/whatever, they are already dead and this lumbering, jerking, spasmodic shell is in no way related to the person I cared about." And then I'd blow their brains out and feel like I was honoring the memory of my dead friend or fambly member and in fact be happy that I had the opportunity to get back at them (or rather, their shell), guilt free, for all the shit they had ever done to piss me off during my life, and hoping they would do the same for me. In short, I have felt that the whole playing up of the emotional attachment to these zombies is a cheap trick designed to pull at the heart strings of women and simpletons. And, evidently, you as well...

If we have no emotions and ties to other people, then we are all ready zombies.

Not all of us have meth, 17 year old double D titties in bikini tops, and a MILF to distract us like you. So, in short, would you kindly STFU.

I was talking about it with a friend at work yesterday. It really is an amazing diversion - bottom line is they just wanted to make a zombie movie and saw a formula to use a trendy book name and a popular actor.

She actually should have someone manage every single communication she delivers from now through year-end, at least. Going on the Today show and listing how Blacks use the word "nigger" in their conversation as a point of confusion for her actions was a bad way to start her public rehabilitation.
The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.
