Our defense is flat out horrible. Some heads need to roll within the next week. The form of "head rolling" should come in the form of pink slips. Some people on the defensive staff aren't getting it done.

I wonder what the records are for the most yards allowed by a defense in a given game and total over a season? I feel as if we are going to break one of them and probably both of at this rate.

Unsportsman like penalty. 15 yard penalty accessed on kickoff. They are a damn joke.

We actually won. I don't know how but we did.

We will do good to become bowl eligible. If there is a team with a worse defense than ours, I feel sorry for that team.

I'm sitting here looking at the stats. Both teams gave up about 720 yards on defense. LOL

There was something interesting that jumped out at me on the stats and amazingly enough it maybe why we won the game.

In Fulmer's later years, our special teams were horrible. Once he left, we started to get oh so slightly better each season. This season, taking out Palardy's occasional FG and extra point failed attempts, our special teams are actually doing pretty good. Looking at the stats, it appears we actually won the game on the fact we did better than Troy on our special teams. In kickoffs in particular, we were quite a bit better than them where we earned 100+ more yards than them and the average per attempt and the other stats were quite a bit better as well despite the fact both teams had the same amount of kickoffs, 9. On punts, we beat them as well although not as impressively.

I can't recall the last time I looked at the kicking game stats and thought that may have been why we actually won a game. Nice.

Now kindly go fuck yourselves, defense.

I miss the old UT boards. In better times, on Tennessee gameday, the thread would get 400-500 posts in a three-hour window. Good solid football posts with insightful opinions and observations. Now, it's just OF asking questions like, "How many points is a field goal worth?" and "If we win, do we go to the Super Bowl?"

Hello!
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

Fuck you AA. The only thing you did was get your singular wit (aka Jungle Fart) to laugh along with you. Way to go, meastro of the peanut gallery.

If you don't want people to post here, that is fine. We will happily go to Volnation or Volquest. At least people actually post there. Here there is... an echo.

Way to go AA. You rule in an empty kingdom. May you and Jungle Fart be happy with each other.

OF has never left the Vol nest here at tgp.com. Mommy won't let him post anywhere but here. She has the rest of this place locked down on her parental controls.

This isn't my thread or my board and I don't rule anything here. I have mod powers to help delete all the Russian Viagra posts that come up for approval.

I was actually lamenting the fact that the Vol board has lost Tennessee posters. As far as the sass I threw your way, I didn't dream it would be met with such bile. Back in the day, we would laugh at such things and say "bastard" (or bastage) or hit a return volley with sass - sometimes that sass went nuclear, but no one ever really took it seriously.

It sounds like you did take it seriously. If so, please excuse me. It was intended as mild sass and I never dreamed you would take actual offense. I'll do my best to avoid you in such things going forward.

Lighten up AA, nothing we suffered through with Dubose or Shula is as bad as what UT is experiencing today. Troy laying 48 on your D should be a sign of the Apocolypse or at least lead to a Jim Jonesish mass suicide.

Jungle Rat ran everybody off.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.
