Hold on son. Who are you? We can't be having people bustin up in here and questioning the bona fides of other members who have posted more than twice as many times as they have.

Tree claims to be a poster from CNN/SI that "he doubts any of us would remember"

E dropped the ball. Instead of sucking up to the newbie he should have asked who he was at SI and the 3 questions. Tree needs to be put on read only until he answers them. No free rides.

I'm a pretty smooth cat, brahs. In fact I got a date tonight with a light skinned black chick that looks like a young Rosie Perez. Works at a church but wants to be a model. Could be a very interesting evening.

Anywho enjoy your weekend, also-rans.

Why did Rupp dress like he worked at Wally’s Service Station & Garage with Gomer and Goober?

one big issue with the transfer portal is that is just an ego trip for these kids.

They want that 3 hats at the table moment when they announced in high school, so leaving the portal they get to have these coaches fawn over them again.

At some point the NCAA is going to have to implement so sort of salary cap with severe penalties for any program caught - like a $15m fine. I don't see any way a salary cap will be equitable to the small schools, but then again the small schools were never going to pay shit anyways.

I don't think the universities themselves have the slightest control over how those N-I-L dollars are spent. The wealthiest alumni are the ones who do the big donations and make the big money choices. The alumni and their donations, they are the ones who buy the players off to attend their schools. So I don't think it is the size of the school that matters so much as it does how deep the pockets are for the alumni.

I don't know for sure but I don't think that the SEC or the B1G(Ten-11-12-14, now-18?) are going to remain members in the NCAA for very much longer. After all, if the two conferences can cut a contract for these schools to only play one another, why should they remain? Why share with Duke, Wake Forest, or Iowa State? Costs too much $$$$$ to stay in NCAA.

Absent unions and collective bargaining agreements, you’re going to run into restraint of trade issues with any cap.

There is NO collective bargaining with N-I-L. That is like saying, we could create a collective bargaining agreement with Indians writing C# code at every single software sweatshop. Can't be done. Its entirely de-centralized, entirely direct competition. Zero collaboration. Its the wild west. You can't regulate that.
