they actually reference it in the movie by the sun's age, pointing out that the earth's sun is younger, i dont think they actually talked about colour, but anyway... younger sun=yellow, older sun = red
these were some issues I had with MOS, (im pasting from an email i sent my sister) :
1) I really dont get how humanity/earth/america could get behind Supes after the shytstorm that was perpetrated in this movie
keeping in mind that supes doesnt appear until after Zod threatens the earth & taking account for the level of destruction.... me personally, I'd just be like "**** kryptonians"..... ALL of them, the one wearing the blue suit too
2) Zod's posse were genetically bred & groomed from birth to be military warriors? Stomping the farmboy out should have been like taking candy from a baby, no?
3) so next movie Lois knows Clark Kent the reporter is Superman, right from the get-go? That completely kills the Clark Kent alter ego/Lois Lane interaction for the upcoming sequels
4) Last but not least, Zod's idea to terraform the earth to match Krypton is a big WTF? so he wants to eliminate all the advantages of having a softer atmosphere & fractional gravity?
I know they referenced it, but what they showed was clearly a setting yellow sun.
1) Agree, thought the same thing
2) on this I disagree. He may be military, but he didn't have 30 years of practicing his powers and specifically testing his limits and abilities like s-man
3) It kills it but truthfully it never made sense that a good reporter like Lois couldn't figure out who s-man was. I always thought that was a weakness in the comic.
4) totally agree.
5) S-man's cape reaches the ground and is yellow on the bottom. Ever since "the Incredibles" having a cape bothers me.
6) Kevin Costner can't act and he's stupid for not sending Clark after the dog
7) Lex Corp was on one of the buildings and was on the side of the gas truck that exploded and Wayne Enterprises owned one of the buildings
I have been watching Justified on Amazon Prime. I am three episodes into Season Two. Where the fuck do they get the ideas for these characters? Sadly, I have a sneaking suspicion that this is somewhat realistic for parts of Kentucky...

the old dude is the original dude - I like the idea of Bridges walking around as a 20 year old model and Reynolds as an old chinese guy
but I can easily see the similarities to MIB

When you're in your 50's, you probably need to temper it a bit...

ok, so I caught WWZ Saturday night.
About the only thing it has in common with the book is Israel closing off its borders and they don't get that right. Other than that - and I mean this literally, it has nothing in common with the book.
So its not even fair to say they screwed it up , its a unique movie in itself. Not a bad movie as far as zombie movies go but its not the premise in the book.
I'm not even sure why they called the movie World War Z because it has nothing to do with fighting zombies in a "battle".

One of the young uns started watching Walking Dead on the Roku, so I sat there and watched it. It's not horrible, but some of it is just downright stupid. This group of younger guys with a bunch of guns are camping out at some old dude's farm and all he's got is a few daughters, and yet he keeps ordering them around and whenever he gets mad, he tells them they have to get off of his farm. Now you know good and well in a zombie apocalypse, nobody is going to listen to that shit. The guys with guns would be like "Um, it might used to have been "your" farm, but we're here now, you're old as hell and we're staying. What are you going to do? Call the police? So kindly STFU". And a bunch of other shit like that...

if you just started watching it now then you've probably noticed the vast increase in meaningless dialog during the second season because AMC for whatever reason cut the budget of their hit TV show - so you have a 50 minute show with 25 minutes of dialog filler, however the second season did have my favorite episode to date which is called "Nebraska". The farm stuff is also highlighting the struggle between Rick and Shane. Shane is full on Road Warrior Apocalypse mode while Rick at this point in the series is still trying to apply society rules to the anarchy that surrounds him which is why the old man, Hershel, can still order Rick around. Rick also needs Hershel because he is a doctor. Between the kid being shot and the wife being knocked up, Hershel has some leverage as long as Rick is in charge.

Walking Dead is #3 on the totem pole at AMC.
