Carolina Basketball’s NIL Takeover of March Madness

The Tar Heels have ramped up their NIL visibility even further since the postseason began. Every player on UNC's team has at least one ad campaign.

Cadeau and Bacot are in a group of a select few college athletes across any sport with national television commercials. And no men's college basketball program has been more prominent in ads during the NCAA Tournament this month than the Tar Heels.

Other UNC players have tapped into the acting space recently to promote their partnerships on social media. RJ Davis took part in ads for Keurig and SKIMS, Seth Trimble shot a commercial for Bonchon (with Duke forward Mark Mitchell) and Jae'Lyn Withers filmed an ad for Fifth Third Bank.

In total, Inside Carolina confirmed 32 active deals for North Carolina players this month: Adobe Express, Bon Chon, Crocs, CVS, Daps, Dunkin Donuts, Epic Games (Fortnite), Fifth Third Bank, Freddy's, GNC, Hanes, Harry's, Hey Dude, Hilton, Keurig, Lysol, Marriott, Nabisco, NIL Fanbox, Nocco, Optimum Nutrition, Panini, Powerade, Raising Canes, Reebok, SKIMS, Taco Bell, Topps, Turbo Tax, Wells Fargo, Wingstop, and Zips.

UNC, long recognized as one of college basketball's blue bloods on the court, has now firmly established itself as a leader in the NIL space.
