I bet Texas hosts a regional and A&M doesn't despite A&M being Big 12 regular season and tournament champions.

heh, that's a great story Hedge - good deal that it had a happy ending.

of course, if that kid was running laps at the start of the season, it wouldn't have taken so long.

Worst mistake our little league coach made was telling my son a walk was as good as a hit.

He never swung the bat again the entire season, just tried to crouch as small as he could in the batter's box and celebrated like he hit a grand slam every time he got to base.

and of course I lost it with him after about 3 games of doing this, mad an ass of myself by telling him if he didn't at least try to hit the ball I was going to make him quit which in turn had the coach give me a "so you're one of those kind of parents" talk

the second one I've received.

Yep. Texas plays a bunch of tomato cans, plays every good team in Austin, ties A&M for the conference championship while A&M sweeps through the tournament, while A&M actually played a tough conference slate, and had a higher SOS and RPI. Result? Texas top 8 national seed but not A&M. Predictable. Rice also did not deserve a seed and got one.

If they lose 3 of the next 4, you guys will start pushing that ol panic button.

I've got my fingers crossed.

After all, failure builds character.

I would have posted a pic of Mook but he de-friended me on Facebook. So I went with 2nd place.

Hey Hedge. Stop by Artemis' forum now and again. This joint bores me to tears. Frankly, I don't think many here even like sports/baseball, or much of anything else, except their own masturbatory fantasies, for that matter. Hope to see you on down the road.

You should probably read this. I think your account has been hacked because it appears someone may have been using your username to post things unrelated to baseball and/or sports as well.

On this date last season, the Reds were 30 - 21 and in first place by a game over the Cards.
