painter would have won it for us last night if his eyes hadn't bugged out seeing garcon 10 yards behind the D

in other news kstate rocked/brady threw 4 picks and my grandkid had a 20 yard and 80 yard td scampers saturday to lead the vikings toi a 20-0 victory in 8 year old competition against the wolves
Garcon probably would have dropped it anyways.

"The Colts are unlike any franchise in sports. NFL football — with its 53-man rosters, stocked with interchangeable parts — might be the ultimate team game. But since 1998, this team’s name is Peyton Manning. No other championship team has depended on a single player the way the Colts depend on Manning."

Been sayin' that for years. Good article, Rat.

The Colts should have drafted Dalton.

Colts should punt the rest of the season, clinch the top pick in the draft, and use it on Andrew Luck.

maybe they can even get someone to trade them a 5th and 7th for the rights to Purrty. Depending on his neck, he may still be able to function as a quality backup, or as a veteran placeholder/gap plan while a young QB develops on a struggling team.

the other option is to hold your breath and go 'all in' going forward with an aging QB with a penchant for wilting in the postseason who has had three surgeries in the past year?

It's clearly evident that Peyton has carried an otherwise losing team for years. As soon as he goes down, the Colts are awful. Some of us have predicted that this is exactly what would happen if Peyton ever left the Colts. You and some of the other haters here said that was ridiculous. Do you NEVER tire of being proven wrong over and over again?

I really don't think there's anything that could happen that would make it any more clear who has been right all along in this "debate" (if such a word can even be seriously applied in this case -- there really is no debate). But if I had one wish, it would be to see Brady traded to a mediocre-to-poor team, so that we could see just how great he is when he's got to carry the whole show on his own -- as Peyton has for all of these years in Indy.

Actually, the ideal situation would be for Brady to go to the Colts. Oh, how I wish that could somehow happen.

I'll give you 23.3 million reasons why he won't be relagated to backup or a placeholder duty (Brady is valued at 18 mil, btw). He's (::yawn::) the highest paid player in the game. And the money is guaranteed and has been for the last several years...thanks in no small part to having started every game of his career. Except for right now, of course.

Of course, your "maybe the colts can trade Purrty for a 7th pick" sums up what your little hobby is about.

$23.3 million for Curtis Painter to start at QB?

Irsay is kicking himself right now....

Every objective bit of evidence that exists suggests that you are as full of shit as we already know you are.

It bears repeating: Brady goes out and the Pats carry on almost as if nothing changed. Peyton goes out and the Colts fall apart.

Throw in the statistical advantage that Peyton has and there's no real debate -- Peyton > Brady.
