I attended UNC Wilmington when Brian Rowsom played there vs David Robinson. I graduated from UNC Greensboro when it was Div III.
I am old skool.

Zero athletes on this Carolina team. None.
Cormac Ryan makes Caleb Love look like Larry Bird.
Can we send Jaelyn Withers back to Loserville? My God, no wonder Kenny Payne’s not winning with worthless dumbasses like him!

why in the world would UNC take a player from Louisville?

semi interesting discussion about booing players
in the past I would have never boo'd a player
but now unless its a rare case like a Reed Sheppard, the kid is at your school because of the NIL package you offered , and whatever other reasons he may have chosen a UK , UNC or Kansas, there is a relatively small dollar difference that could have convinced him to go somewhere else.
and now with the idea of direct payments being proposed by the NCAA, regardless of how we spin it, the kid is being paid to perform
its a whole new ball game now - the expectation to perform is high and the bar for criticism is lower

I just found out that UConn won the national championship last year. I had no idea. Who was the blind UConn fan that was on CNNSI?

The chancellor will do as is told to him by the BOT and their overlords on the BOG.

go where? Neither the Chancellor NOR the Board of Trustees are picking, shit. They are stuck in the ACC until they get invited to join the SEC or the B1G. I can assure you, until Clemson or F$U are invited, you are going nowhere.

(shrugs)
Again, I don't give a damn what the talking heads say. I care what the chancellors and the BOT at the schools already IN the B1G and the SEC say. They are the ones who vote for expansion. I have heard none of them say they wanted UNC.
They took Washington and Oregon because the B1G was able to "shake them down." Those schools were desperate and cut a deal that UNC would likely never agree to. You want to join the SEC or the B1G with the same contract that SMU signed to join the ACC?
NFW.

Lookie here
https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/A ... to%20cover
REVENUE BREAKDOWN: In Seattle, Mike Vorel cited a source as saying that UO and UW will earn $30M in media rights revenue in Year 1 and an “additional $1 million each year through the contract’s conclusion in June 2030.” Both schools have the “option to borrow up to $10 million per year against future earnings” to cover “added travel costs and other expenses.” The source added that UW will “earn a full share of the conference’s next media-rights deal” and projected that share to be “worth two to three times” the $30-35M they will receive over the next six years
You guys haven't been offered, but even if you were, you want to agree to these concessions? You really want to have such a small share of the pie compared to Iowa of even, fucking Vanderbilt? Until the next contract? LOL!!!!

UNC is probably thinking in football its a wash either way - Big 10 or SEC, they're gonna get their ass kicked
but in basketball - they would be a force
