this is why people are moving away from the democratic party. Its not that they want the current form of the GOP, they just can't deal with the bat shit crazy element that has been given a voice to represent them on the dem side.

no hedge, you can be disgusted by all of it. 637 people murdered at our schools over the last 52 years is disgusting and we have zero tolerance for that. 1,456,000 people who commit suicide over those same 52 years should ALSO be disgusting but apparently YOU have tolerance for that. You have tolerance for it because you think it is "their business????" So when married women were increasingly committing suicide from 1955 to about 1965, was that just "their business" too? Because when we figured out what was happening, the state of California changed state laws to stop that. That change in state law left us in ruin I might add.

And for the record hedge, 637 murdered over 52 years is tragic and horrible. But 1,456,000 suicides over 52 years, that IS an epidemic. That is worse for us than Covid-19.

Moreover, it damn well IS YOUR BUSINESS if someone you know and love commits suicide. It's your business because that has got to be the most selfish thing a person could possibly do, and all it does is leave you in sadness. Talk to any person who finds out someone that they loved has committed suicide

Yes. You are damn straight I do.

You are 80+ years old, you get some dreadful diagnosis, and you have (what?) 6 months to live with excruciating pain, so you go and get a revolver and blow your brains out? Okay. As you stand before God on His judgment, most likely He will be merciful unto your soul. And that is horrible what happened but I get it. You don't want to put your family through 6 months of hospice visits and sadness.

But if you are 35 years old and in adequate physical health but you are just miserable all the time, you don't think anyone loves you, and you figure you wont be missed, well, if you blow your brains out you are just being one selfish motherfucker hedge. You don't give a damn how that makes other people feel. Having had a couple family members commit suicide, let me assure you, its horrible. That act of selfishness is a pure mental health disorder.
