The morning after...
Wow. Just fucking wow. I can't believe how bad our defense is. They are aweful. They can't cover a single receiver in the entire country. They bite, hard, on everything. They are slow to react. Speed, as it applies to our defense, means we are slower than everyone else.
Dooley gets flack here and there with some people wanting him gone. I say check out our dcoordinator.

Your D coordinator is brand new. It takes some time to recruit and get a system in place.

And I'll take him back in Tuscaloosa in a heartbeat.

The team quitting on him vs UK last year is unforgivable. He's no headcoach.

Yes, our D coordinator is new. We all knew before the season started we would have issues and this season was a bit of a step back. I just don't think anyone saw the total ineptitude of what we have for a "defense" comming. The thing is they are flat out lost out there. They are slow. Have no idea what they are doing. Their reaction time is measured in molasses drops. They all need to chase a chicken around a la Rocky.
Any bets on who will beat the shit out of us worse, 'bama or SCar?

If, and I mean "if", we make it to a bowl game this year, will that be a step forward or just a "moral" victory?

I expect them to quit vs UK so they won't have to.

Coaches who need big second halves
1. Derek Dooley, Tennessee: The Volunteers have looked better than last season, but they'll still carry a 3-3 record into the second half of the season. The Vols are 0-13 against ranked opponents under Dooley, whose team faces No. 1 Alabama and No. 7 South Carolina in the next two games.

Smart move - Dooley had his hip surgery now rather than after the season since a potential buyout absolves the university from offering him Cobra.
And yet he has a hard time counting to eleven.

What is it about you Vols looking to wrongly fire a coach who has had surgery? Did you not learn from the Johnny Majors deal?
