Random topics that don't seem to be items we'll discuss in here, but I feel compelled to weigh in on:

1. Patting down the 3 years old kid in a wheelchair by TSA. If there is pat-down policy, then pat away. I don't care if you're three or you're 80.

2. The murder of that Trayvon Martin kid breaks my heart. It was an assassination and totally racially motivated.

3. SuperPACs have killed Democracy, much like unregulated markets will kill Capitalism

I agree.

I don't think it was racially motivated. I think it was racially stereotyped though. Black guy, hoodie. White guy, white neighborhood. With today media, you do the math.

George Zimmerman?? I don't think so.

The cops called him white but the family says he's Hispanic. Looks it to sorta.

From Zimmerman father, but since George Zimmerman said in the 911 call that he was following Martin, you wonder how much the father actually knows

One problem is that you can be both white and hispanic. Hispanic doesn't really indicate race. A blonde guy from Spain could walk right off the flight from the whitey homeland and is also hispanic.

You could hear Zimmerman get out his car, some have argued you could her a gun slide, you could hear the wind in the phone as he walked and the operator asked him was he following him, Zimmerman said "yes" and the operator says "you don't have to do that. Don't follow him" and Zimmerman said "okay." That's confronting.

If it was a situation that had a white/hispanic man (it's amusing to me the energy of many clarifying Zimmerman's white/hispanicness...I don't think that matters in the racial dynamics category) following a kid because he was black with a hoodie on in a "white" neighborhood then, I'm sorry, that is racial. The sentence is filled with race qualifiers.

The kid was followed and shot because he was black and dressed like a teenager, and if the tape does confirm that Zimmerman said "fucking coons" on the phone then it's no need to ask if race played any part of it. Sometimes it's not a race card, sometimes it's simply racist.

Exactly. Charlie Sheen and Anthony Quinn are Hispanic. So is Lynda Carter (who can so get it).

It doesn't matter what color killed what. A person killed another person illegally and should be faced with some murder charge.

I was wondering if this was the first time Hitler was mentioned in this thread (Godwin's law!) but no, it is the 5th (not including posts qiuoted in other posts)
